Most of the time off line I find when people find out what you do they want to know there and then how to do SEO, keyword optimise/search etc THERE AND THEN!!! No way! Sometimes you get people who are successful quickly, but for must of us it is a learning curve and just over 2 months is nothing. There are people who have been here a year and not made a penny. If you want hand holding there are courses out there of upward of £4,000 that do that - but be warned once the course is over you are dropped cold and on your own. I know i did it. WA isnt perfect. WA members arent perfect but the resources here are second to none. This is a business and you wouldnt expect to go into any business knowing nothing and know everything in that time. Im still learning, and I suspect the others are too. There is a lot to learn. Take your time and do not try to do it all at once. It will come. Just think it through as you do it. If you ask you will get more help here than almost anywhere else. The problem with IM is there seem to be as many right ways of doing it as there are marketers, just keep to a handful until you are clear. Keep to squidoo until you know that then move on. As one of the others said learn from potpiegirl she has lots of useful info and explains clearly. Ask specific questions. And check out the resources on success thinking as at the moment your thinking is holding you back.

Haha Kevin, Looks like you're not going to get a whole lot of sympathy from your friends here. What you are going to get is "friendship", which is a whole lot better. People are willing to help you. Yes, mentoring is usually a very expensive proposition. Don't know how K&C would handle it, frankly. You can get what you want without it. Make an outline of your goals, which includes your chosen niche, and how you expect to attain them (the steps you are taking), then ask someone for their help, to make sure your plan is sound. Stick to your plan. You'll see results. Tweak as you go along. Many people here have been getting results with Pete's and Mike's EOS. That's kind of hand holding in a way. Have you really ever had a mentor in anything you've done? I haven't. Seat of the pants. You know what? It's more original and gratifying when it works. At WA, at least you have informed backup. Just go after it Kevin.

Hi Kevin. From my understanding - WA's sales copy - never promised any "hand holding". Like everything in life especially in business - online or offline - you have to first take responsibility and do the work in pursuing and making true on your goals. Most things in life do not come for free or meet our expectations fully - and no person no matter how good intentioned they may be - will offer anyone a free ride especially when money is concerned. Time in helping another is money too! WA is here with resources and that includes people. To be able to use properly and positively those resources, you have to first take control - do the work first, learn as you go and ask for help on the specifics. Getting disappointed because the info is too much or you're not getting the handholding help you want doesn't help you or anyone else. It only alienates you further from the rest and distracts you from your goals. Many have offered help - have you taken up their offer? Or are you simply complaining because your expectations are not being met as easily as you expected? Like all things, if you really want it, you'll find a way to work out your obstacles in a positive way. And saying that "everyone here is taking advantage of newbies..." is just not true and a disservice to WA for slandering its owners and all its members based on the actions of one or a few. Have you used all the resources properly? Please do the work and ask for help on the specifics! No one can really help complaints - but a lot can come up with help to specifics! Learning something new and making it work is not easy! Expecting people to help you because they're here is expecting way too much - reality is - people help those they like and believe won't waste their time. Help is being offered - count me in in that list. So what are you going to do now? Continue being negative or actually do something that actually requires help? Good luck - a more positive mindset - will get you way far ahead! Added you as buddy - will you accept or not?

Yes Kevin, at times we have too high an expectation. But as I
also experienced, the first challange at WA is to complete your schedule training. Have you? Surely, as you work on your training you will position youeself better. See what you can learn but not from others with negative vibes.

Kevin, I think I reached out to you before.... I'm sorry you're still having some trouble with WA... I just started something, if you want to take a look at my blog. I started it for two of my offline friends who got laid off and were asking me for help.. I remembered some people here wanted more of a one on one experience, so I thought I would see if anyone is interested. It's free, and I can't promise the world since it is an experiment, but.... Hey Kclarks, I want to give you a link to a site that I go to a lot for some really good info.
The site is owned by a Gal named Lisa Irby and she really puts things in an easy to get fashion. Her site has a lot of sales links on it as well, but don't be quick to buy anything. Just take a look arounf at the info and listen to her videos. She is really sharp. She can't hold your hand but you may find it a little easier than the technical stuff here at WA.


I personal mentor is what I would like myself but they can be very expensive. LIke thousands. WA kinda led me tp believe I could get thta here but, oh well..
The first stage the newbie needs to get passed is the information overload stage. I've been messing around with this stuff for years. Made some sales, but I won't give up. Hi, kclark...you're not on my buddy list, but then, I haven't been active in WA for a while....life got very busy.
I'm sorry that you're disappointed in WA..or the people here, but I don't feel disappointed in the community at all. Everyone of us is a struggling affiliate marketer, trying to understand concepts and skills that are so new to us. Some of this is very confusing...as I'm writing this, I was actually looking for a help icon because I just deleted the wrong documents on my website!...LOL...I can be such a dingbat sometimes...the point I'm trying to make is, a majority of the folks here are struggling to understand it all...struggling and frustrated that we aren't successful yet. What are we doing wrong? Heck, I know with myself...I have the "not following through" syndrome! But I recognize that and I'm working on it.
My point to you is, if you need help, there are people here who will help you. I don't understand it all, but I will answer any questions and help you in any way I can. I have been doing online marketing..more like online training, for about 3 1/2 years. Working full-time takes a lot of my hours away. I'm not successful yet, but I will be if I just keep working at it.

Hi.....stick with it. I am a newbie too.....May 30th and retired. But I jam away at it every day and have hunted through all kinds of emails, text and videos.....lots of good free stuff.

I also bought all Pot Pie Girls stuff and it was exactly what I wanted and needed. She is great.....young gal that stuck it out and figured it out and then helps everyone new......gives away almost to much free info.

So if she can do it ...we can do it....and with her help. There are others that I have found on this site that are really genuine and provide really cool info too.

The best part I found is that we get WordPress and Site Rubix which i really like and also Squidoo lens with the articles and then Yahoo answers and the groups and forums.

We can do this......you can do this.....it comes to you....I take piano lessons and my teacher says....Phil....go slow....learn your basics no matter how long it takes and then practice slow and carefully. He said don't quit like most of my students. He feels we quit when we are almost there and about to do well. He told me that if I practice carefully just a bit more than the other students that I will all of a sudden GET IT and be happy again. Don't rush he says. I said the learning curve seems so long...he said it is......best...Phil

Hi Kevin, I am sorry about your feelings of frustration, and agree that there needs to be a one on one hand holding option here at WA, even if there is a fee attached. It has to be effective though. Not charge a fee and deliver nothing. No perfunctory service. I have heard from fellow members too, who are disappointed and are leaving. It's not that they are leaving that's sad, it's that their hopes and dreams have been invested in this program, and they are being dashed. Not right.
