Not Sure What To Think
Not being sure what to think is probably just a different form of overthinking. Right?
I’m in the current bootcamp but I’m way behind. I’m attending the live sessions for as long as possible, but I usually need to log off a few minutes before the end, although I was able to stay for yesterday’s session for its entirety.
As per Kyle’s instructions, I am including the results from the one $1 ad I started 6 or 7 days ago as a screenshot in this post. I’m not really sure how to interpret the results but they are here for whomever wants to see them.

As I sat down to write this, I received an email saying that someone has accepted my invitation to check out WA, aka, a referral.
That’s a nice surprise.
However, there is no tracking link that I’m able to find, so, my guess is, it’s from somewhere other than what I’ve been doing in the bootcamp.
To be honest, until this bootcamp, I never understood what tracking links are and I didn’t understand their value, although I do now.
Furthermore, there is no evidence that this referral has done anything-no account set up or anything else. So, at least for the moment, I guess it was someone who did a drive-by. Maybe they’ll return. We’ll see.
My experience with PPC advertising in general has never been a prosperous venture for me. Since I can do $1 ads with FB, I’m trying again and hoping to learn how to do it properly.
As for my experience with FB and FB ads, for the most part, in the past, it’s been more frustrating than anything. I haven’t done a lot of it and haven’t spent a whole lot of money but I figure for a $1 a day, I can afford it.
What continues to frustrate me most about FB and the Meta business suite in general is the amount of general BS and scammers.
The responses I get are and have been largely a combination of both.
I receive obvious fake links that are almost 100% surely scams. I get emails threatening to shut down my site for a variety of reasons that are clearly fake. I also get responses from women who invite me to view their pictures. I’ve received an ad for an even at a night club in New York and more.
I occasionally receive authentic inquiries and responses but many of those seem to be from people I know personally who seem to be trying to help by responding. Those can rarely be taken too seriously, although I’m certainly willing to help those I know personally.
There is one response from my current that seems to be legit. I’ve responded and she has asked additional questions. We’ll see if the conversation continues
To conclude, I’m not sure if the results I’ve shared here are indicative of an ad I should pause or keep it for a while.
Thanks for watching and reading.
Bob

I can't give much feedback except to say that your video sounds great. Even if I could see the FB results, I wouldn't be able to interpret them either. I am in the Bootcamp too but I am so far behind... It doesn't matter, I am just following along at my own pace using what I understand and can do. I never intended to do FB ads anyway, even when I saw the 'syllabus'. As you've experienced, as soon as you put yourself out there, you get swamped with spam and scams.
You'll find a couple of people who understand these figures really well. So hopefully you'll get some useful feedback.

Hi Isabella, thanks for your comments. There's a lot going on in my life right now and it will be this way for at least the next month as it's been for the past month. I'm doing my best to keep up with the bootcamp but I can only do what I can do. When everything settles, I hope to go back and do everything, to the letter, that is in the bootcamp. That was my plan in the beginning but by week two, I kind of went off the rails, but I'm hanging in there.
Maybe Kyle or someone, or maybe even I, can make a senior citizen pace/version of the bootcamp for us. :-) Or not. :-(
Bob
I am in a similar position with the Bootcamp. Week 1 task list was so massive and I was trying to get a nice logo, started using a new theme - Blocksy - and realised after a few days that I had been neglecting my other two websites and my translation and story writing projects. So I have got back to these and will just limp along with Bootcamp.
One thing occurred to me - doing things at a slightly different time might actually help because right now there is probably a 'flood' of WA Facebook ads.
Hope things settle down for you - though then it'll be the run up to Christmas which is always a busy time anyway.
Sending lots of good wishes your way.
Isabella
Back at you. I'm getting ready to move and there's a lot going on at my school. It's all good but there are only 24 hours in a day and 168 hours in a week. There's no extra time just cuz we're busy. Furthermore, my time budget includes ample rest. I'm not going to kill myself trying to do everything at once. At this stage of the game, staying healthy is more important than ever.
Bob
I totally agree with you. Although I have several projects on the go, I made a rule for myself when I came back about 10 months ago that family would always come first and that I was going to as much as I could as long as I was still enjoying it rather than stressing about it.
Wishing you all the best for your move.
Isabella
Looks like a great result to me Bob.
Great video again! 🤩
As for your questions:
Yes, spam and scams and phishing all around ... ignore and delete (never click)
I used fb ads in the past... and best results came when I focused on my audience or the audience I wanted to reach.
Hope this helps a little
✨ Fleeky
Thanks Fleeky. Yes, it helps to get positive feedback but I'm not really sure what's "great" about it.

It is simple, from the heart and not blabla.
Warm voice, good rhythm...
And ... beautiful English
😌
Great is the % ...

Hey Robert,
I can't really see your stats as the image is not clickable to enlarge. What does your ad look like and what wording did you use? I would set the expectations in the ad so that they are well-informed before they click through.
Thanks for letting me know, Hein. I didn't realize it's not clickable. I added a text link to the ad but the image is too small. If there's a way to make it clickable so the data can be seen, I'll do it but I don't know how at this point.
Bob
Take another screenshot and crop it a bit. Then replace it with your original image, and see if there are any settings you can adjust before posting.
Hey Robert,
I hope you are well. Sorry, it's been hectice this side. It seems you chose messaging clicks, which can be expensive.
I would usually go for different options like Sales, and then let the post bring them straight to WA's landing page or a compelling article here within WA that you use in your Facebook post. Click on the share button below the article and just before the comments, then add your tracking ID for each post and platform. For example: Facebook_ArticleTitle (or at least part of the title) to identify which ad/post and article brought the referral here.
Thanks Hein. I've been doing everything on the fly lately. I'm trying to keep up but I'm way behind. I thought I was following Kyle's instruction from the bootcamp. Maybe not. Your points are well taken. I hope you're well.
Bob
Even "Drive-by's" as you put it, have swallowed your cookie, and if they return and upgrade, they add to your income stream. You never know what the future may hold. Good luck with that.
I, too, hated the shutdown messages from the weirdly spelled email addresses.

Thanks for sharing this, Bob. I didn't watch the video yet as it's always secondary content for me to consume. But I have read the text verbatim. If you have downloaded the text for that class, you will know exactly what metrics to interpret and measure.
Usually, the clicks to your link are the most important, but reach and views are also important because that's where we deduct the clicks to our link from. I'm no expert on this, but that's why we are all taking the Bootcamp.
I can relate with you. I have created ads before to drive traffic to my website or to my page. However, I was never successful in driving referrals who actually convert and stay for long. Yet, this doesn't mean the best days are over. I'm checking my new strategy not each day, and I have created another ad with a different goal - to increase followers for my page. Yes, I got one follower now as a result for $0.67.
Again, thanks for sharing your results. Watch the class again for more info on what exactly to monitor and how to interpret that data because it's as important. Only then you'll know whether to pause the ad or not. You can even edit the ad to add your unique link for tracking.
Keep us posted, Bod.
Thanks John. Yes, I will watch again.
