Messaging System in WA Ain't Very Good
I have used the message system in WA and I have to honestly say it isn't very good.
The main reason that I said this is because you will notice that the speed and refresh rate of the messages are really slow. One conversation that can take about a min on social media ends up taking half an hour on WA.
I can confidently say this because it has happened to everyone that I have met so far and even if we are trying to communicate, it takes about a minute or so for the other party to recieve and it really slows down the process by a lot.
Maybe it wasn't their intention for personal message to be instant like the ones in social medias and instead be treated like emails but I really think it would help to increase the speed for the messaging system.
Having said that, I still have to thank WA for the other features such as the awesome community, the very good hosting and support and the pay it back system here.

You are correct, the messaging system here at WA (your private messaging area) is not instant. Messages do refresh on their own but there is a delay of about one minute between messages as you say.
Messaging here at WA was designed to work more like email and it's been a great communication platform for many, including Kyle and I who use it the most of anyone.
That said, having a private, and real time conversation with another party is something that could be a possibility moving forward. That kind of instant messaging system for private discussions has been discussed many times before between Kyle and myself and we will bring it up again in our meetings to see the viability of this.
