I'm new and this is my first Blog Post

This has been an amazing experience so far. Last year was a rough year because my husband and I both felt like we were stuck in a rut. I manage a Collision shop and have worked here for almost 18 years! Wow, that sounds weird... The obvious next step for us was buying this Collision shop. I am proud of myself and how far i've come. I am in a mainly male dominated industry so, I am very proud of myself. BUT, this isn't my calling. I've always known I am suppose to do something else.

I decided about 4 months ago that I didn't want to buy the shop. My husband was surprised because this is suppose to be our retirement plan. So, now what? I didn't know and that made me feel even more depressed. I just know my life isn't suppose to continue in this direction. All I know is that something has to change...I just didn't know what.

Well, in steps my husband at around Thanksgiving time and he starts telling me about this amazing video he came across on You Tube. He said, "You have to watch this"! I was like, yeah yeah...okay, I will! It took him about another 5 times of telling me you have to watch this until I finally did. I said, "Okay, we'll sit down on Saturday morning while we are drinking coffee and we'll watch it." It was a You Tube video for a company called AWOL.... I was immediately sucked in, but not with the price of the whole program. My husband was ready to get a loan. Something told me to hold on and do some research. That is when I came across Wealthy Affiliate. My husband thought this must be too good to be true because you could join for free. Thankfully he loves me though and here we are.

I've been going at it for a couple of months now and every time I accomplish something it feels so awesome. I am still excited about and have been watching motivational videos and reading books on a regular basis so that I can stay excited. I know it's going to take some time, but in my heart, I feel like we are going to be successful at this. I felt a little overwhelmed when I realized I was going to have to write stuff myself. I never knew I had it in me to be a writer and here I am 4 articles in so far. All I can say is WOW! I am so glad this opportunity came along.

I am realistic in knowing that this isn't a get quick rich type of thing. I felt overwhelmed at first and just told myself to take it one step at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day as they say and time goes by so fast that i'll look back at this time a year from now and be amazed at how far we've come. I'm so glad there is an online training course like this and a community along with it that supports you and your growth.
