Discouraged
I'm very close to quitting today. I joined four months ago and have created 5 websites. I feel like I have been working very hard, and am a single mom to four very young children. I also work from home writing for content mills and doing editing work, etc. I feel like I'm constantly working on something and am still always broke. My websites were showing good growth - google analytics showed that each website was getting between 30-60 page views a day and that seemed like a really good start, even though I hadn't made any money yet. But now in the last two weeks are so - those numbers have DROPPED. Like ALOT to some days a couple of sites have NO visits and others have only a couple. I don't understand why. It's been 4 months and I still haven't made a dime. And now I just saw that I got billed for another month on here, which I totally forgot about and since I had ten dollars extra after I sent my rent check, my rent check is now going to bounce. I'm so discouraged and I don't think even if I quit this minute that this months fees will be refunded, right? Things are not going well over here....

Your problem lies in the fact that you are trying to do too much all at once. It only takes one website
This is no different than an athlete trying to become great at 5 different sports at once. You simply don't see this happen, rather it is much easier and a much quicker route to success by being great at just ONE thing.
The sky is the limit and you any niche can yield far beyond a full time income. So right now what I recommend you do is choose the website that you are most interested in/passionate about and moving forward work to make that site great. Otherwise you will be floating in the mediocrity zone with 5 sites.
Hi Kathy, yes Michelle04 is right you have taken too much, yes I know you want to succeed and make your websites work for you and you can a step at a time. I must say to took a lot on and still with children to take care of. I have one website which I started last year and I am still working at it at snails pace though, but i know I will get there. You have traffic and I don't and I should be envious of you for getting traffic. We are all here to make online business work for us so that we can generate an income from home. Kathy don't give up.
Hi Kathy. After reading your first few sentences, I think I see something that is killing you. You are trying to run 5 websites and you've only been at this for four months. Most people are still trying to work on their first website, maybe two, by this time frame. You've put a lot of work on your shoulders! :)
If I were you, I would choose my two favorite websites that I'm working on and let the others sit for now. You can't possibly handle this many yet and have them all do well. Focus on one or two and give them everything you've got. Work hard on the content for those two and make sure you're using really good keywords. You should start seeing your traffic pick up again, given a bit of time.
I think you've just taken on way too much at this point and you've got to back up and take a different approach. Just my thoughts. :)
Thank you, everyone. I was feeling sorry for myself this morning. I'm going to take all your advice and try to focus on one or two websites for the time being and give it a little more time. Thanks for the input!
