Once upon a time there was a girl who lived on a dairy farm. She was a tomboy all the way she followed her daddy around like a lost puppy. She started milking cows at the age of nine she learned to run the dairy all by herself, and due to her older sister being deaf having ear disease and in hospital a lot, she did run the dairy all by herself plenty of times.
Just a country girl, she knew of nothing else. As she grew ,she started to realize how her childhood was taken away. She remembers always wanting to ride in the wagon train with her cousin. She loved horses , so her dad told her that she could go one weekend. Wagon train is a bunch of people getting together and just having fun, riding their horses and camping out just stuff like that. Dad told her she could go if she worked hard the week before the wagon train. This little 10 year old girl worked harder than a man that week. She got up at 3 am ,milked cows till 7 am. She drove a big old ford truck, stick shift back and forth hauling hay , this was in between milking because she had to milk again at 3 pm till 7 pm .
To make a long story short she worked her butt off that summer especially that week hoping to ride in wagon train. She never owned a horse but her cousin was going to let her ride with her. She was so excited she could barely sleep when Friday rolled around. She only wanted to go on Saturday and camp out Sat night. She knew better than to push it and ask to go all weekend.
Friday morning while milking her daddy came up with a thousand reasons why she could not go. It broke her heart but she never said a word. She was raised not to talk back to mama and daddy so she just dropped her head and walked away.
This blog is to see, I need to do better. A lot has happened in between but, that is for a different blog and a different time. I love to write. I will believe in myself and I will do good I will make enough money to take care of my son. YES I WILL.
