Content Creator Tool - My Experience And Workarounds
Today is my first day using the content creator tool.
These are the reasons I switched after all the years of using WP editor.
- I am a prolific content creator so I would like to keep track of my word count on WA
- I want to start celebrating my word count goals as some extra wins along the way - so after a week of daily posts I will create some fresh goals with regard to wordcount and celebrate them when I reach them!
- I appreciate the templates. The templates in the Content Creator Tool are a cool feature to get anyone used to creating a top quality post.
So far so good - however there are a few things I have noticed with the content creator tool so far, that I've had to create a work around for -
Well, until I learn more about how to use it... hehhehee - maybe you have the solutions?
WORK AROUNDS
- Block quotes - My blogs are personal and I talk alot. I have so many 'opinions' (don't we all) so I like to quote myself lol. I like block quote because it breaks up the page a bit - my posts are generally quite long so my readers need all the help they can get to stay excited - even though my content is hilarious and cheeky (if I may say so myself) it's actually good for the eyeballs to have some candy along the way with images and quotes to break up the text. So far I haven't found how to block quote in the CC tool - so I have to work around it in WP editor after I publish the post
- Pages. I tried to create one with the tool but alas it defaulted to a post. No problem, the work around I used was to copy paste the post and create a page within WP editor. Is this a thing? Does anyone else experience this?
- Duplicate content. If you don't delete the post created when you published your project from the CC tool you will hae duplicate content on your site - that's not cool, so make sure you delete the post when you copy it over to a page
- User Admin - even though it says it's publishing my project as Admin, it did actually post it to my blog under my preferred nickname. I was happy to see that because I spent a bit of time dwelling on it and refreshing the page again and again to get my 'name' to come up as an option rather than 'Admin'
BAD HABITS
You might be interested to hear about how the content creator tool is helping me break some old bad habits I've had within WP editor this last decade or so.
Text Size. I shoulnd't even be mentioning this becasue it's a silly thing to do - but I used to change the text size and bold it for impact and eye candy instead of using heading text.
I know I know I was definately in a bad habbit of adjusting the text size. I can see that now that I am using the Content Creator tool because it's not even an option to be able to do that! Tee Hee! So I think this is a great tool to start with right from the beginning so all the best habits are learned from the get go.
OVERALL
My experience has been very good so far. I've only used it once but I'll definitely keep using it.
I feel excited to see all the percentages up to 100% in green on my draft. It's one of those unconscious 'feel good' strategies that work wonders for the long hours that prolific content creators like us here at WA do on our screens. I LOVE THAT ABOUT THIS TOOL!!
It's nice to see ourselves get some 'top marks' before we publish.
Feels like someones on my team!

What are your experiences with this tool? What tricks can you teach me?
Have a great day everyone and remember -
YOU ARE MAGIC!!
