Sometimes you feel like a nut.

Last Update: February 06, 2017

Or in this case...a dunce. I've been working on building my social media starting with FB. Before joining groups on FB who share my niche, I thought it a good time to add WA banners on various pages and blogs on my site.

I watched a recent popular tutorial on how to do this but was repeatedly unsuccessful in every attempt. I'd get the image pasted in the perfect spot, however, when I went to preview it, only the image showed up on a black screen.

After several failures, I blamed it on the New England weather or maybe I was tired or maybe I shouldn't be enjoying a glass of Chardonnay while working on my site. I did, after all, know how to do this...I've done it several times being an Amazon affiliate. So, before going to bed I shot out a ticket to Site Support.

Kudos to Site Support...again! Within a few hours they responded and when I woke up this morning I saw that beautiful red envelope showing I had a new PM.

What the training tutorial I watched failed to state was to go into "text" mode and then paste the html code to the image I selected. DUH!

One simple missed step...sometimes that is all it takes to make a great day go sour. Today, as I wait for 6pm and the Superbowl to begin, I've successfully put several WA banners on my blogs and will continue with adding more tomorrow. Then, I'll focus on FB and joining groups and (fingers crossed) hopefully gain more organic traffic.

So...to summarize my experience yesterday...don't be reluctant to ask questions within the WA community or ask for help with Site Support. No question is too redundant.

Thanks again to our amazing Site Support staff...I must rush off now and make something amazing for our Superbowl party. Go New England Patriots!

And what a game it was! I was very nervous at half time when the score was 3 & 20...what a turn around! Phew.
I watched Brady's live interview this morning on the news when he was given the MVP trophy and he stated that someone stole his jersey right out of his bag. He wants to track it down so keep an eye out for it on EBay and hopefully we can catch the scoundrel. What is wrong with people!?

I definitely agree with your statement, "No question is too redundant." If you don't ask, you won't know! And now that you do, you shared that piece of experience with us. Thanks!

Cheers

Ps. I'm rooting for the Patriots too!
