What - Girls On Motorbikes?
Record Breakers
This is what it looks like when 762 women get together to break the USA record for the most women motorcyclists in one ride.
I was there, and it was amazing to be part of such a big supportive group. Everyone was there to help achieve the one goal. We were a team but with individual reasons to be there and to strive for the overall success.
We were Hot!
It was June and it was a stinking hot day in Topeka Kansas. We had to ride slowly past the photographer, in order, with our numbers on our sleeves, to record that were were all there. Then a slow ride around the track, waiting for each rider to get onto the track and join the formation. About an hour later it was time to start the ride. Three laps of the track to break the existing record and prove that all participants had completed the ride.
Success
The feeling of success and being part of a fantastic group to achieve that success was a sweet reward. Some riders had come hundred's of miles across country for those three laps I had come from the other side of the world. Many of the riders were over 50 years of age, in their 60s and 70s and one rider was 93 years old. Age is no barrier.
Feels the same
Being part of WA has the same feeling and comraderie that I felt being part of that ride. The support and the encouragement that it takes to achieve something as part of a larger group is so much more fulfilling than floundering around out there all alone.
In just a short time, by working through the training I have got my website up and have written over 6,000 words with 4 content posts, and two of those have been ranked by Google. How did that happen.? By taking one step at a time.
I am very grateful to be a part of this group and even though I am new here I can already feel that I have a strong chance of achieving success because I am not alone.
Thank you everyone.

Great camaraderie. Just like the WA community. I have an interest in riding bike but I once tried and met a pitiful end, I got an accident. Just a scratch though. But I say way to go Ladies!
Thank you for that.
Yes I can resonate with your pitiful end. I hit some diesel on the road in the pouring rain and came to a bad end, recently. I live to tell the tale so I got back on the horse. :)
