Hi, I'm a bit confused about CPA campaigns. Can I use the CPA affiliate links in my reviews, recommending their products? I found some products suitable for my website, they of

Clue me in, where can I get $50 a sale?

Well you can take a look at the clickbank offers. If they are legit is the other question :P

Of course you can. If your review leads customers to buy the stuff you're good to go

Thanks ceedeeric, I was confused because I read some training here on WA saying you should buy a new domain and make 4 landing pages and lead traffic that way, also when I look at the offers it usually says: Promotion Not Allowed: No Incentivized, No Brand Bidding, No Coreg, No Social, No Search, No Adult. does it mean that i shouldn't promote my post with the CPA link on social media?

There I'm a little bit over-asked. As far as I know, most offers don't allow things like the brandname in your keywords. It's different from offer to offer. I guess you should send an email to the provider and ask them directly what you're allowed to do and what not.

Hope I could help a little bit.
Cedric :)

Thanks Cedric, that's what I'll do:)

Hi,

Ever since I published an article linking to a product on ebay I started getting sales, so I was very happy about it, especially that I'm getting around 20% commissio

It's likely just coincidence. 51 clicks over the span of 2 months is a little on the low end. It averages out to less than 1 click per day. I found people don't nearly buy from eBay as often as they do from Amazon.

Thanks Steve, I only link to ebay if the product is not on Amazon, and I was positively surprised in the beginning with the high commission and the fact that my readers were buying. Guess it was just a coincidence.

Do they still have the product in stock?
If you're getting clicks, and it's working, it can't be a technical problem.
There are too many factors that can be involved in people not actually buying it, so it's a bit hard for us to be able to tell you that.
Truth be told, it's mostly because that that we shouldn't rely on just one product.
I hope you get back on selling soon.

Thanks Tchelow, I keep checking the product and they still have it in stock, I've got various products linking to ebay but mostly this one is getting clicks, the rest is on Amazon. Maybe it's a coincidence then.

Hello,

Did you switch your SEO plugin recently?

See: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wordpress-seo-by-yoast-meta-description-not-showing-up-at-all

Hi Ignorant, I didn't change anything. I've been using SEO all in one from the start. Do you know what else it could be?

Ok, I think I found the cause... Can you disable "Tweet, Like, Plusone and Share Plugin" for a while and see if it makes a difference?
Or maybe review the settings?
Cause in this plugin a second title and description is created and those are not the same as the original...
(Maybe ùamking the m the same is also OK, something you will have to check)

See attachment...

Grtz,
Bert

Wow, Ignorant that sounds like the solution I need. I'll do it straight away, thank you so much for taking your time to give me a hand!

You're Welcome.... Can you let me know if it is solved with that solution?

Hi, I deleted the plugin this morning and submitted a new sitemap. It's just been indexed but unfortunately the problem is still there. Does it mean the solution didn't work or Google needs more time?

Hi Ignorant, I checked today and the number of duplicates has almost doubled. I also see that my google analytics records visits to the same page splitting it into two pages. Have a look:
The only difference is that one ends with a slash and the other doesn't.

Ok, then I know what the problem is... :-)

Here you can find the solution:
http://www.searchenginenow.com/how-to/fix-duplicate-title-tags-google-webmaster-tools-paginated-posts/

If you think you cannot edit the PHP file, then I suggest you send me a PM with your FTP details and I will edit them...

But I challenge you to try it yourself and take first a copy of the original php file and copy it to your local computer, when something goes wrong, you just copy the file thru FTP over the edited file that does not work...

Good luck!

Hi Ignorant, just realized I never replied to your brilliant solution! I just got straight into it and forgot to get back to you. Now, after a few days, Google has finally picked up the changes and there are only 5 posts and pages with double meta-description and title tags left. So your solution worked, thank you so much!
What do I do with these five posts?

Hello,

I think you better take a look at things...

This is what Google says:

https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/2642366#hl=en
(Change ? to #for a working link)

Check into sudden drops. If you see a sudden drop in the number of indexed pages, it might mean that your server is down or overloaded, or that Google is having trouble accessing your content.

Did you make changes to your robots.txt?

Grtz,
Bert

Thanks Ignorant, I checked today and the indexed pages are back to normal again. does it mean the problem solved itself or should I still do something?

I would leave as is then...

I find it strange that you have organized your website into folders like this. Are you using a certain plugin that could be causing this?

This is not a natural style of linking or organization for a site structure, and I assume a plugin that you are using may be causing this.

Your site should follow the following format:

yoursite.com/your-page

NOT..

yoursite.com/yourfolder1/your-page

Thanks for your reply Kyle. Some of these pages have got parent pages, so I understand why the urls are like that. But I don't understand why there are duplicates, when I click on http://beatcandida.com/saforelle-probiotic-tampons-review it redirects me to http://beatcandida.com/product-reviews-2/saforelle-probiotic-tampons-review. and I never set a redirection for it.
I don't understand why there're numbers at the end of some URLs, I never set it up this way. What should I do about it?
