The Questions Just Keep On Coming!
I just completed the 4th section on training! WooHoo! I'm keeping this short because I'm on my lunch hour, but in learning about the social media stuff, I feel that I've missed a lot. There's a lot about SEO I'm beginning to find that hasn't been mentioned or gone into depth about. I think this is really important, as I learned from another blog that I tried out and failed. Well, I didn't fail, I just found out that it was a big waste of money and time. Anyway, when I finish the next round, I hope it fills in the holes.
I've learned that you need different plugins to make things work right. I tried to do Google Fetch on the search console, which was on a live video a few Friday nights ago, and it was out-of-date. The actual site had been upgraded and I couldn't find what I was looking for. Luckily, google had a "go back to old site" button and I found everything there. Then, I found out, after putting in my URL, that I didn't have the right site map. I don't even know what that means! So somewhere in my research, I found out I needed a plugin. I got the one recommended, but have no idea what to do with it.
Google Adsense, now there's a fun time! Had to figure out on my own, and I still don't have it right, how to get that where I want it. Another Plugin!
I really wish there was a whole section on SEO and plugins, Kyle, I hope you're reading this, it's kind of my review of the training so far!!!
I also think more should be said about images, and Alt Tag, and Tags, and categories. I know I didn't miss this, I've followed the training right through!
Overall, I've learned so much, and I want to thank everyone who's helped me when I rant and rave, and ask questions! You are great!
One last note, the training videos are a bit out-of-date. Even the dashboard and the WA site is different from the videos as it's been updated over the years. Sometimes I get mixed up on where to find something, and the old videos don't help.
I didn't grow up with computers, I'm 61, so this is pretty new to me. I'm trying!
Well for a short rant, I've gone on and on. For anyone who's read it all the way through, thank you! I wonder if anyone else feels like they need more info too!

Hi - did you manage to sort out the issue with Google AdSense? I used the "insert headers and footers" plugin - makes it super easy!
Hi Diane,
I sort of did, no not really. I got the plugin "Ad Inserter". It was recommended to me, it's pretty confusing.
I'll try yours, is that what it's called?
Thanks for the info!
Jeanette
Hi - yes, as it says. Once you have activated the plugin, when you open it, there will be two boxes. Paste the code from Google into the top box and make sure you save it. You won't see any difference on your website until Google has inspected it.
Ok, thanks!
