I would not go to the trouble of using Woocommerce for Amazon. There is no need to spend that much time on an affiliate link and the products.
Spend more time writing informational posts and product reviews.

Amazon provides images that work very nicely.
In fact Amazon requires you use their images.

You need to be affiliated with the program.
Your site need be ready before you apply for affiliate programs
You would need content and TRAFFIC before applying to affiliate programs as typically they would inspect your site prior approval.
You may be able to get accepted to Amazon sooner however you still have to satisfy the quota doing three sales in 180 days.
Once accepted, they've given you material and special tracking code links you can share on your site.
Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.
Once they do, and in accordance with your affiliation terms and conditions, how commission payouts are tracked and paid. You need to read up how payments are made because different programs follow different rules; some pay by check others via PayPal or straight to your check account.
I would always adhere to your affiliate program terms and conditions.

This has landed in the community, is it meant for site support?
You may add a user, give them privileges and provide those details, and once the job is done, you may then delete user credentials.
I would ask them to try the issue on their own test site. If they are the developers couldn't they set up a scenario like yours and test it.
Do you know what plugin is in conflict?
Maybe you could have site support COPY your LIVE website to a http://Siterubix.com website and check the site settings reading "Discourage search engines to crawl. and then give the tech teach access to your http://siterubix.com stie. if that is the last resort.
I would be a bit leery of this, John, like you seem to be. I want to see what answers you get, just in case I experince this issue down the road, my friend!
