Too much vs not enough
So I'm working on building the contents of my site and I'm not sure how much info I should include. For one page, the word count is over 5,000 and on another page, 1,000 or less word count and some pages in between.
I am not finished with the site yet, still making revisions, but just want your thoughts and opinions before I go any further.
Thanks.

Yes I think as a reader 300-500 words would be enough for me.
How do you feel when reading longer texts? Sometimes it helps to put ourselves in the other person's shoe.
Good luck :-)
Google likes differing word counts, and as long as the topic warrants that number of words without fluff or filler, then that's fine. Try varying them a bit, some 500, some 1,000 etc. etc.
That is huge, SEO want more than 300 words. You might find readers will not read 5,000 words unless you content is relevant and engaging.
I would consider 500 words is a good size page, see what others say.
Cheers kev

My self I hate longer text. I have a couple of posts and pages that are 700 to 900, but most are 400 to 600
I'm the same when reading stuff online. I just find it a bit challenging to get my messages across sometimes. Need to work on my word count. :)
