Adding links and photos to site - considerations?
Hello everyone
I have been busy adding links and images to my site.
I think I understand how it works but someone in my family scared the life out of me yesterday when they suggested that I could be sued or prosecuted. I've tried searching for answers in WA but all the blog titles are quite specific.
I have added free images - I've added to my lightbox & will be sending messages to each contributer with a link to my site to say thank you.
I have added lyrics from a song, a photo of the band & a link to the video on Youtube.
I have also added links to media sites (I know this is alright to do) but I have also quoted direct from the articles and associated comments
Am I breaching copywrite? Anything I need to consider? I don't know what else to ask (I don't know what I don't know!). Any advice you guys have would be much appreciated as ever

Yes read the replies as suggested by Kae. But it sounds like you are doing what you need to to protect yourself. It is good to be aware and always give credit to the author or originator of things you share and not present something as if it is your own. I have seen your site, I will look again, but the content you have makes me fairly confident that your are not using other peoples intelectual or artisti property inappropriately. I believe your site will be very important to helping other people!
