Velcro, Remington & Victor Kiam
I am not sure how many of you are old enough to remember Victor Kiam. He was the entrepreneur who was given an electric shaver for a gift and he liked it so much he bought the company - Remington. In fact that became his catch phrase. In his ads he would proudly declare "I liked the shaver so much, I bought the company". A fantastic endorsement of the product that he was selling.
I remember reading another story about Victor - about an opportunity that was presented to him and he let go. And regretted.
A friend approached him with a patent idea for a product. Victor took a 6 month option - he had a good felling about it. He then spoke to relatives and friends about this proposed product. Most of them thought that it would not be of much use and therefore not a good investment. He turned it down. That product was Velcro.....and the rest is history.
Internet Marketing can be much the same. There are a lot of people that just don't get it. They see it as a scam or a get rich quick scheme (we wish!) that works only for very few. They are well intentioned. Its not that they don't want you to be successful. They don't understand it so they can't support it. The shame is that many people don't give it a real go because of all of the well intentioned, doubting friends and relatives that tell them it is a waste of time.
DO NOT LISTEN!
If this is your dream, then follow it. It will require hard work. It will take time. It will be frustrating at times. IT WILL BE WORTH IT!
Good luck with your online journey - don't let opportunities pass you by.

It probably also takes a good dose of gut instinct and these stand-out movers and shakers certainly had an ample supply of good business acumen.
Outside negativity can really be difficult to overcome..... sometimes even to recognize. We just need to keep moving forward with what we are learning as are you. Thanks for the post.
there are many doubters in this world - luckily in this community of like minded people we are well supported. I refuse to listen to people that do not believe - it makes me more determined!

I have definitely missed out on some opportunities over the years because I was talked out of them but now I can say I have made the right decision with WA. Thanks for the blog.
