One of the first things we are asked to do when we join Wealthy Affiliate is to set some goals about what we would like to achieve and the timeframe. Goals are important for establishing the road ahead and putting us on the right track to achieve our goals.
One way of penning our goals is to write a letter to our future self. Imagine if you could share the hopes, predictions and aspirations you believed were ahead – it could be a kind of unconscious blueprint for who you met, where you went, what career you followed.

Where do you want to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years? Where will you be living? What kind of house will you be living in? What are some of the things that you will be enjoying in this future lifestyle? Travel? Pass-times? Family? Financial Freedom?
Also, who will you be helping? How will you be helping them?
Writing these things down in a letter to yourself can get clarity around what you want to achieve. Give yourself a diary reminder to read the letter in 1 year (or whatever time frame you set) and see how you went. Knowing in the back of your mind you have mapped out your future path can help you to the right decisions to follow the road to your future self.
