Stumbling Blocks

I've read many questions and blogs about staying the course. We live in a world where we want things right now. We expect results immediately. We have fast food mentality. But, just as fast food is bad for the body, this sense of right now is bad for the soul. We have lost our patience. We get frustrated easily and want to give up. We see our inability to get it right the first time as complete failure. When you fall down, get back up. Falling down is not failure, but staying down is. We see a few months without making money as a sign that the process is ineffective. We give up on ourselves. We give up on the people around us. We’ve lost our faith. We throw up our hands way too soon. We don't give it enough time.

I recommend that every one of us relocates his/her own patience.

I understand how frustrating things can get. Believe me, I've been there. It is those moments that define who you are. Are you the person that throws up his/her hands and gives up? Or are you the person that is going to give everything he/she has to the task at hand? Invest in yourself. You are your most prized possession. Don’t put a time line on your greatness. Do a little more every day. Learn something new. Strive to get to the next level. But, stop putting so much pressure on yourself to get it all done yesterday.
