Time just flies!

Still, I don't want any of you who might be reading this to think I'm down-hearted. No - not at all. These events (or lack of them) have all been learning experiences. To make this new life work for me I'm going to have to become more organised, more focused, better able to prioritise and make some changes. So an hour a day? Well, that model doesn't work for me. That's one of the things I've learned. Instead I intend to look at my current work schedule and decide what slots are IM time.
Currently, I am earning money by supply teaching, so in effect, I am the master of my own time. Therefore, I have decided that three days a week I will teach and two days I will internet market. This is my new commitment and as such one I intend to keep. I have started work on my website, but only just. I still have the about me page to write, and that is what my priority is for today.
Anyway, the point of this blog is - If you're new here, like me, and you haven't got as far as you thought you would have done by now, then take a minute to reflect and think about what you have learned so far - not about IM - but about you and your needs. After all, this is probably a really big change in your life. Then be realistic with yourself - don't beat yourself up - take stock of the situation and, most importantly, KEEP GOING! Those that succeed, just keep going! And that's what I intend to do. What about you?

You're so on the money Julie! There are so many distractions that slow us down. My biggest enemy is getting stuck on something and wasting time on it when the answer is right around the corner here at WA. My best advice to the 'Starters' is... set your pace and go... complete the tasks as best you can and just keep on truckin'! Thanks Julie!!!
And there was me thinking I was rambling again, a tendency of mine. It looks like I've finally found someone who gets me. Nice to meet you - finally!
Likewise, Julie. Naw, you're not rambling, not at all. Even after you've been here a while the distractions or barriers may change their characteristics on you, but they're always there in some shape or form.
Lately it seems like just the slightest form of media in the background easily distracts me, so what little time I do have to do the lessons, I have to put on a headset with some easy music and just block out all of the noises.
New Starters here really do need to do exactly as you said and think about where they're at now with their newly acquired knowledge, re-think their needs and then put their needs into action. As you said though... most importantly, KEEP GOING. Here at this University, continuity can take you a long way in a modest amount of time if you can stick to it.
Now to take my own advice.... back to my current lesson!!! Thanks Julie!
You make me smile Double Tap. Thanks ever so for the reassuring and kind words.
