Changing gears...again

Today I have decided, for this post, no worrying about keywords or tags etc, except this program won't let me publish this post without two tags...I am really just blowing off steam. I feel like I have progressed well through WA and I am proud of the site I created but I am starting to feel like I am making no progress in spite of my progress, make any sense? I am a Scouter, I love it and I believe Scouting is an excellent program for youth and families as well but I somehow feel my site isn't specifically good for making any revenue. I understand keywords and why they are important but for some reason I am not gifted with coming up with good ones. So I am thinking about creating a new site, where I would feel better about monetization, but again, coming up with a good name for my new site that would be good for finding keywords for...that skill eludes me somewhat.

I am not giving up...

I certainly will continue with my current site because, you never know! I do know, however, I need to do something to bring in regular revenue as I am having trouble paying the bills each month and it is taking it's toll on my marriage. Also, he has little tolerance for my sitting at this computer for hours each day, the rest of the time is filled with homework, dinner, my Mom, pets, new Grandbaby etc...I feel very disjointed, disconnected, dis dis dis everything! I've been dissed LOL! Yes, I know I am quirky but that part isn't going to change as it is one of the few things that keep me reasonably sane and that, for some, is another subject open for debate! I am so new to Affiliate Marketing, I have not yet developed the finesse needed to make it in this market and I do not have years, I needed that yesterday!

I am trying to be patient because I know it does take time and doesn't happen overnight, it is just difficult to feel reassured when I am staring down the possibility of losing my husband of twenty years and maybe even my home. If you are reading this, understand that I am not looking for a pity party because I know some people have so much worse to deal with and I am grateful for many things in my life, but as I said, I am blowing off steam mostly. I also know I am not the first person and won't be the last to feel frustration with starting a new business. I will look back on this post someday and smile and feel more blessed than ever because hopefully, sharing this with another newbie when they feel like giving up will help them feel motivated to keep going and they can share their experience when they have made it...and so on ...and so on.

A positive outlook...

Thanks for hanging with me this far! I sincerely hope there aren't anymore posts like this from me, only positive from here on out! So, in my changing gears outlook, I expect to continue to improve and learn, much like driving a stick shift...the longer you drive one, the less you grind when shifting and before you know it, you are proficiently driving, shifting, eating a cheeseburger and changing the radio station all in one smooth succession! No grinding! Ha! I just dated myself a little huh? Oh well! Here is a disclaimer...I am in no way condoning multitasking while driving, I was merely using an analogy that seemed relevant for me as I am a child of the 80's. Oops! Dated myself again! It's ok, you guys are clever and can read my profile anyway and guess I am ready for my Golden Buckeye card! Only kidding! Thanks again WA community, if not for you, I wouldn't be here with a chance to learn all you have to teach me! Love to all!

Jules, thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Starting a new business is challenging and can be frustrating at times because it involves learning new things and, yes, making mistakes.

Just know that the WA community is in your corner. I'm always glad to help too. ~ Jude

It is very hard to stay focused, overwhelming sometimes. just get up and walk away. It will still be here when you get back.
