Recovering From Getting De-Indexed
I while back I wrote about how my other site got de-indexed by Google because it was down for about two weeks because of a plugin mess that went unnoticed.
In short, I was so busy with my other site that I didn't notice that the other site had been down.
I was of course scared that it would take very long for the
I wanted to share my results if any of you happen to have the same experience. In short, don't panic! Just get your site back up and running.
Here are the results from Google analytics for the past 90 days. As you can see the site has recovered almost to the

I don't really know what's going on with the bounce rate as it's suspiciously low. It was always closer to 80% before like the 66.9% drop suggests.
All I did for the site was to make sure everything was loading correctly after the plugin mess, I then fetched my sitemap at Search Console and requested an indexing for my most successful posts. That's it.
Then I just waited. It only took a couple of weeks for the site to bounce back and it's converting as well as it was before.
I haven't added any new posts because I wanted to see how well the site can do on its current posts.
I'm gathering data on that because it seems sites with enough content keep picking up traffic even when you stop completely creating new content on them.
I do plan eventually to create more content or to hire a writer on that site but I'm currently super busy with my other site as I aim to publish over 300 posts this year.
That's all for today, just wanted to share this with you guys in case anyone has a similar issue!

That’s incredible and great news!! Well done you handled it perfectly! Can I ask how many posts you have on that particular site? That’s a lot of traffic!
I think there are 98 posts and I haven't worked on it for several months now as I'm busy with my other site. Remember that's three months of traffic so it's really nothing huge. Translates to three-figure monthly income.
Hey that’s better than 0. Ok. Just wanted an idea of number of posts. Thanks. Keep pushing forwards! Have a great weekend!
Thank you for sharing Jukka! I`m glad that you got your website fixed and that everything is working ok! I`m glad that you recovered and that everything is returning to normal for you! All the best to your sucess!

Scary though it is, thank you for reminding us there is a way back
Thanks Catherine! I was worried it would take a lot longer to bounce back fully but this experience showed that Google has some "muscle memory".
