Half A Million!

I've shared before that I love doing my initial writing in SiteContent instead of my Wordpress back office, even though I have to do converting to Thrive Architect which I'm using as my main editor.

The reason I love SiteContent is the word counter. If you write all your content there, it helps you keep track on your writing goals and I love to watch the numbers go up over time.

I finished a post day before yesterday (had to take a day off yesterday to maintain sanity...) and just realized I just hit half a million written words! That's over then novels by the 40k word definition.

So sorry about the click bait headline, it's not dollars ;). Just wanted to share this accomplishment with you guys really quick! Now I'm going for the full million.

I don't really think I've written more than 100% of members here. There are so many industrious people here.

I think most of the experienced people either write directly in Wordpress or maybe in a third party text editor.

Also, the counter might count anything above 99,5% for example as 100% which would still be several thousand people.

How's your counter looking? Are you hitting your writing goals?

Very nice to see and very well done sir.

Ironically, I was just thinking of setting some goals here in WA for the next month, 3 months and 6 months and WA blogging about it today.

So reading this blog was perfect timing, as I also write all my initial content in site content. I do find it easier to add my links (internal and affilliate) and images in wordpress though.

Thanks Lawrence! Yea I add most of my links in WP as well. Then I actually have to do one more conversion to Thrive Architect and copy the Wordpress content to it's text format so that I can use all the drag and drop functionality. But it's worth it.

Holy moly batman! That's A LOT of words! 😮

When I saw your title I thought you were either talking about the amount of followers or website views.

It wasn't clickbait at all! ☺️

Congrats on hitting half a million!

I also use site content to track my stats but I write in WordPress then copy and paste into site content because for some reason site content really lags my computer. I type and it takes about 10 seconds for the words to show up. I still want my stats though, so I always paste and publish from site content ☺️

All the best
Melissa

Yeah I think it does that sometimes on my laptop too. I'm using Chrome as a browser and have a gaming desktop as my main workhorse with a fairly fast fiber optic internet so I'm not really getting any lag.

Come to think about it, you're right. It does have to do with the laptop. It never lags on my phone but always does on my laptop. I don't have an actual computer so I run off WiFi for both my laptop and my phone.

My phone is ridiculously quick though, that's mostly likely why it doesn't lag.

I did so much to my laptop thinking it was slow because of site content! I went to the point of reinstalling windows and starting with a clean slate only to realize my problem was actually only site content! Lol

Oh well. It's nice to start clean again ☺️

Yes I try to least for every post I put on our website 1000 words minimum. And it’s been going good doing that. What’s the site counter?

2

1000 words is definitely the minimum you should aim for these days. I usually go for 2000 or at least 1500. It's actually very easy to hit that even about a topic you don't have too much knowledge about when you have a clear routine and a template. Site counter? If you are asking me where you can find the word counter it's under Websites -> SiteContent and when you start to create a new post it shows it at the top.
