All work no play makes Jack a dull boy.
Just kidding, ha :). But the COVID lock down combined with the fact that I still have a full time day job while working all nights on my business are making me feel a bit like Jack Nicholsons character in the Shining.

In case you're not familiar with the movie (is that even possible?) Jack Nicholsons character becomes a caretaker to a remote hotel. He plans to use the solitude for writing but after a while gets a case of the cabin fever really bad. The busting through doors with a fire axe kind...

It's day 3 of working from home and my routine is pretty much this:

• Get up, take a cup of coffee and sit in front of the work computer for four hours
• A short lunch break and take the doggo out
• Sit in front of the work computer for another four hours
• Make and eat dinner, take the doggo out, maybe squeeze in a short home workout
• Sit in front of the home computer for 4 to 8 hours to work on my business.
• Sleep
• Repeat

While I do love the fact that I save a ton of time from commuting and I can actually work more efficiently at home than at the office, I'm definitely starting to worry about cabin fever. Most of my work is writing after all. And it's only day 3!

Fortunately the weather outside has been just magnificent so at least we get some sunshine but I think I'm going to have to start making some excuses to get out of the house soon lol!

What are your tips for surviving the solitude and getting some other activities than sitting in front of the computer?
