So I wanted to touch on another very real topic I had to grow through "Heart break". In my journey I've had my fair share right. Is it ever as easy to deal with like the movies make it seem. Not at all right?! Today I wanted to connect on this topic because I feel this happened to me and I wanted to give you all some tips on dealing with it. You can try to go on with your life like nothing happened but team listen, that is NOT healthy! So let's understand this thing called heart break.

What are the symptoms? What do they look or feel like? Low energy, sulking, feeling alone, almost a pain in your heart and body. Can't seem to focus right? Maybe even loss of appetite or if you're like me, probably eating more, "comfort foods". Right?! First thing you have to understand is healing from heart break is a process.

There is no rule to how long it takes you to process your emotions and feelings. It's very important to allow yourself time to work through your feelings. It's healthy for you! So what's the first thing you can do to aid in the process of getting back to your place of joy you ask? Well, here are just a couple I've used on my journey.

  1. Self Celebration: Acknowledge your ability to connect with someone. Its not easy to do for many people so don't take it lightly.
  2. Be thankful: Find it in yourself to first appreciate the opportunity to experience happiness and love for your own growth. Smile at that experience. Breathe at the moment. Release the stresses or pains. Really say to yourself I'm thankful to have felt love and to be able to feel cared for. That was major. A lot of people don't know that feeling. Do you?
  3. Release yourself from feeling angry: Give yourself permission to not hold a grudge. You have the authority to not stay in a place of fury. Simply remind yourself that this person or this situation doesn't have authority over your temper side and its not your contract. In other words in terms of how you operate in the relationship with yourself and this situation. So simply remind yourself when you're getting upset or angry to breathe and release because it just simply isn't your responsibility to give every situation your temper. Let it go and move on. It takes two to engage on that side of things but you can travel and decide not stay by yourself.
  4. Outdoor therapy: so get out in nature and go for a walk. Get active allow your spirit and mind to be as one through exercise. You'll feel great!!

Look within and allow yourself time to reflect. This is HUGE!! It's very important to allow yourself "Me" time. Especially after experiencing heart break. Meditation or just sitting in silence. Breathing exercises. All great tools for quieting the mental chatter. Now this particular one is a separate class and if you want we can set this one up as a one on one and really dive deep. This is where you remind yourself that you are OK and give yourself permission to move on without regrets. Again this a very basic tool and gets a bit more intricate with advanced techniques.

Steward leadership: Nothing is more rewarding than yourself to help others without asking for money or gain of tangible items. This is what I call soul work or karmic intention. This is about sending out the selfless energy and being of service to your fellow man or animal or nature. It's a blessing to have talents and gifts but its rewarding to use them to help others with no intention of wanting anything in return but the human nature experiences.


So these are 5 tips to dealing with Heartbreak and hurt. Just a couple that I came up with for myself in my journey. I truly hope this has helped you on your journey and hopefully you share this post so we can help many more. It's been a joy - Jemel
