On to Lesson Five - Minus a Facebook Page
Finally, nearing the end of training but still so much to learn. I have had crazy days when my pages spiked at 53 visitors and days like yesterday when I got 0 visitors. I blame myself, though. Getting off track and losing my laser focus on creating fresh content every day.
So what have I learned in the last phase of training. I think the most useful tips from Kyle were what not to focus on. I am sharing content but have not created a dedicated Facebook page yet. The lesson on Facebook taught me that while sharing my content is good, actually having a business page is not a productive use of my time.
I'm only at month 1 and a half but it feels like I have been at this for about a year. I sometimes have to adjust my expectations. I know that it takes time to gain ranking and data but I'm used to dealing with a site that gets over 2,500 hits in one day sometimes.
Looking at my measly numbers is discouraging but when I look at the percentage growth in traffic it helps me feel better. When you start at zero it's really easy to have an astronomical growth rate. When I compare those numbers and my universities, I feel better.
Anyway, here's to adjusting focus and remaining positive when the train won't move as fast as you want!
What would you say are your best takeaways from your training here at Wealthy Affiliates?

Hi J, I have a FB account but decided not to use it at the moment although the lessons say I should. I'm just not ready to spend the time to understand it and I think I need to focus on content. There is too much confusion as to if it helps.
We all need to make our own business decisions. WA makes you really assess what is working for you.
Love this community.
Thanks for the perspective.

Thanks Lily,
I definitely agree. I am having a hard time just getting out 5 pages a week much less managing a Facebook page. Kyle's lesson gave me the perspective I needed to decide that I had to pick and choose which avenues created the most productive results for me. Now if I had a brick and mortar business or a business with products to move, I probably would choose differently.
All the Best, Jim
Hi Jim,
No reason we can't do it say in a months time when we have more content and can allocate the time.
We will know more and perhaps do it better.
