My Twitter Marketing StrategyPosting Schedule
My twitter account, @jillian78, has 816 followers as of today. I have designed a marketing strategy that I would like to share with you.
First off, to gain more followers, I follow the maximum allowed (2,000). Twice a week, I review who has followed back and unfollow those who haven't. In addition, I follow anyone that has followed me that I didn't follow originally. I also use the #ff hashtag (Follow Friday) to encourage people to follow those followers of mine who have stood out to me by either posting interesting stuff or retweeting something of mine.
As far as my posting schedule goes, I am going to try to make 10 tweets per day divided like this:
Two inspirational quotes
Two pieces of advice (life, business, etc.)
One link to any new post I have put on my websites.
One affiliate link (most likely WA)
Two product recommendations
One recommendation to follow another user, blogger, or join a forum.
One news item.
I post about once per hour between the hours of 10 AM and 8 PM PST. So, that's it, I'll update how it goes!

Very good strategy and yes agree about posting at opposite ends of the day to catch more time zones.
You can use those Hashtags in your tweets to grow your network. As far as in your profile, you can if you want. I dip a bit into your profile and what hashtags should be there in my advanced twitter training Advanced Twitter Marketing Guide
Good idea to change subjects I go on twice a day for around 20 mins and mix and match a bit

Hi Melissa, thanks for following me, I will follow you back. :) People to add to Twitter? I use the suggestions that Twitter gives me and search terms in things I'm interested in as well. I don't add people with stars by their names b/c those are generally famous people who aren't likely to follow back. Then I remove people who haven't followed me after about a week. I'm up over 1,200 followers now.
