How many people know what a Blarney Stone is? I'm not talking about the BLARNEY STONE that is in Ireland. I'm talking about a Blarney Stone that you can eat. One of my projects this last week was to make Blarney Stones. A Blarney Stone is a piece of cake frosted on all sides and then rolled in peanuts. They are basically the rave around this time of year. The people that I cook for had a little bake sale and one of the items in that sale were Blarney Stones. I made the cake squares and the boys frosted them and rolled them in the peanuts. At first I was told to only make 200. So I made 192. One of the boy's ate one so it was 191. The next day my boss told he wanted two more sheet cakes made. So I made 40 more. The boys had their bake sale this last Sunday. It went quite well. That day, my boss told me he wanted 2 more sheet cakes made. So, I made forty more! Some people missed out on buying them on Sunday, so, there was enough to give to the people that didn't get theirs and we had a dinner with the boys and the staff and had enough for everyone to get one and we have probably about 15 to 20 more. I ended up making, all together, 352 Blarney Stones! That was a lot of cakes! It was a very busy week, but it was fun!
