A Numb Mind or One That's About To Explode - No Difference!

Hello all my amazing friends (all 973) in Wealthy Affiliate. Hope everyone is safe and well today!

My avatar to the left, genuinely depicts the way I have been feeling lately!

You want to know why? Okay, so read on and I will get to the why!

The why is because I have been doing so much content writing over the past three months, that I don't know whether I'm coming or going sometimes!

I currently have three websites within Wealthly Affiliate. Two that are my own domains and one that I collaborate on with Jeffrey Brown. The collaborated website is Jeff's domain but I do all the content writing, keyword research and publishing for the site. Jeff kindly has given me the reigns to go wherever I want with the site and he has also publicly given me the credit. That's not the point of this blog, though!

So what is, you ask?

The point is that my WA status does not reflect total articles that I have actually published, or words I've written because the collaborated site isn't my domain or listed under my domains.

However, across the three websites, I have published 64 articles, and approximately 90,000 words. Additionally, I have 4 more articles that are in draft form and waiting to be published.

Since I began collaborating with Jeff, I have been consistently writing or publishing articles, sometimes one or two a day. This is because I want the site to be recognized as a credible venture and not something that's amatuerish.

I do have to admit that at times I can't write at all, because my mind goes numb and explodes..hence the avatar. If I strain my mind too much or too frequently by staring into the computer screen, I can quickly bring on a nasty headache or worse, a mental fatigue breakdown that takes several days to recover from.

There is a positive side to all of this.

Would you like to know what it is?

I enjoy being here in Wealthy Affiliate. I have learned a great deal here so far. Yes, I do make the occasional error or may give an incorrect answer sometimes, but I am continuing to learn and grow. If it weren't for Wealthy Affiliate, I would not have known about the many ways of generating supplement income streams. This has become essential to me, since I am disabled and living on a fixed income. Besides all that, WA keeps my mind sharp, busy and gives me something to look forward to doing everyday. WA brought me back from severe depression. Without it, I would probably still be depressed, with no reason to get out of bed each day.

There are some really great people in this community. I have made many amazing of friends and interacting with them gives me a great deal of pleasure. Oh, there's one other reason!

Can anyone guess what that reason is?

Contrary to popular belief I do enjoy writing. I don't see it as a chore, but as an expression of my thoughts. Even as mind-numbing and explosive as it can get, I do enjoy telling a story on paper. Not sure how I will be when doing video, though! Guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it...which will most likely be very soon. Some bridges need to be crossed eventually, and some but not all can be burned!

Here's to crossing those bridges successfully!

You are overdoing it, I think. I admire your zeal. I also write. I, cannot take the credit for my best work, however. I am just the conduit through which my Creator pours his message. I am the pen arm, so to speak.

It does get frustrating. I might have an outpouring of work for days and then...crickets. At least for a while. I also understand all about depression. I have Main Depressive Disorder, Panic and Anxiety Disorder, and ADHD. The Deadly Trifecta as it were. The writing, when the Father allows it, is all that keeps me going at times, and school as well. I am a 47-year-old freshman working on my Computer Science Degree at Colorado Technical University online.

Writer to writer, I'd like to read some of your work. Please msg me the links. I'll respond with where you can do the same if you are so inclined. I want to be published. Not online only, but in print.

Michael

Thank you very much for your concern, Michael!

I do take wellness breaks after writing like this that can last several days.

I am aware of the deadly trifecta, as you call it. My 31 year old son has suffered with it from a very young age.

Take care and good luck with your college studies. I received my BA degree at the age of 52, 11 years ago.

Great weekend!

Definitely a busy gal Barbara. Giving the mind something both useful to do and creating a new future, is good for the soul, and the mind. Though I haven't been very productive on my site lately, I've ventured into a new realm which has taken a lot of time. I'll be getting back on track soon though. Keep up the good work

Greg

Greg, thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate them.
Don't wait too long to get back on track. Want to keep hearing from you and seeing your work.

Great blog! I too enjoy writing. You know, I've learned more brand new things here in WA in the last 3 months than I have the past year. It's amazing!

To everyone's success!

Louise

Thank you very much, Louise!
This is truly a good place for me.

Hi:

You seem to have the same life and the same goals that I have. I'm also retired and living on a fixed income, so I'm hoping that I can generate income thru WA.

I'm also an author, self-published thru Amazon.com.

I haven't published my manuscript yet. But I intend to do so before the year is out.

Barbara

great post congrats

Thank you very much, Dorrie!
