Persistence is Key - Keep Moving!

After a month or so of struggling with Google indexing, one can get frustrated. I logged into Google Search Console last night to find that I had accumulated 16 items showing "Discovered - Not Indexed - Excluded".

After hours of trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I decided to call it a night. Looking at all the options that Google gives, there could only be a few possibilities. I knew they weren't plagiarized, I knew they weren't from another URL. It showed that my URL was working properly and had no issues with the bots. It could only be that they didn't recognize it as quality content, a coding error that I'm unaware of, or that they are just slow sometimes.

Got up today, staying positive! I was trying to decide if my quality was lacking or if I needed to keep publishing posts, only for them to be excluded. Well, you know I wrote another post. Put my shares out on the social platforms as I do and carried on with my daily activities.
Tonight @ 7:24pm, I received not one but two simultaneous emails. Two separate posts from the "Excluded list" were indexed. I know some have thousands of posts indexed, and I have had quite a few before now as well. There is just something about the relief you get after questioning yourself. After wondering if an algorithm has changed or if I'm not being authentic enough. Then you know, indexing sometimes just takes longer.

All this to say, sometimes when trying something new or even being experienced, you can get caught up in the "What If's?". Don't do it! Yes, you should look into it, just don't start second guessing yourself and what you know to be true! You know the work that you're putting in, so keep doing it and it will pay off.
