Hey folks,
Feeling a lot better than I did last night but still recovering. I am not supposed to drive for 3 days! I drive my kids to school because they are both hybrid home schoolers, so they go in at 10 am, which means I drive them to school, usually pick up my daughter, Ary for lunch and then pick up my youngest kids at the end of their day. My 16-year-old boy walked to and from school (oh the power of teenage love, lol probably just wanted to see his new girlfriend) but I couldn't find a last minute ride for Ary.
I called the attendance secretary feeling totally foolish. I was like "Hey, this is Ary's mom Joy Nelson calling. Ary will not be at school today". The lady responds, "And what should I put down as the reason for Ary's absence?" I am like, "Well, it's a strange call in reason." She's like, "Trust me I have heard it all." So I'm like, "Well, I was trying to give my dog a bath and she cracked her head off of the base of my jaw, which knocked me out and gave me a concussion, so I can't drive Ary to school today."

Silence and a bit of what I suspect was muffled laughter is all I hear on the other end of the line. Finally she composes herself and says, "Well, I have NOT heard that one before. I guess I will mark it down as a transportation issue." More muffled laughter. It wasn't a bad day. My head hurt, but Ary pampered me, forced me to rest, and would not allow me to work for even a single minute. Funny how much she takes after her mama! I actually better get off my computer before she comes out and sees me on here, lol.
Thank you for all of your kind comments yesterday. I am not doing any work today as it hurts my head but hope to be back at it tomorrow.
