The World of Joy
Hey folks,
For those of you who I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Joy and I joined WA in August, 2016. I blogged daily, created an interactive training, built a bunch of websites, launched a couple of businesses, became ambassador and then disappeared. I did not disappear because there is no value in the Wealthy Affiliate platform. I just found that I had utilized what was available to me and felt like it was time for me to zone in and focus.
Since I started my hiatus, life has been incredible! We are settled in to our beautiful micro farm life. I wake up, walk the dogs, let the chickens out, drink my coffee in our hot tub, and work from the comfort of my own home. I spend my evenings writing, hanging out with family, and working on my university courses. I started online schooling in January, 2017. I'm not sure where it will take me, or if I will continue but so far I am focusing on finishing my degree, which means I am taking a lot of electives at the moment.
Other than that, I don't have much to share. Life is good, I am happy, grounded, and focused. I would love to hear updates from those of you who I developed a connection with and from those of you who are simply inspired to share a piece of your life with me. As for today, the skies are overcast, but the air is warming up, the buds are popping like popcorn, and we already have a few bulbs blossoming into flowers in an array of colors.

It's good to take time for yourself. We love in in the country also. Tomatoes are doing great with buds already starting and the squash is growing rapidly. Our peach trees have peaches. Everything is in bloom in Texas. I'll show you some pictures of our bluebonnets.

If you have any advice for a beginner like me, i'd love to hear from you. I got a 1 year timer to fix life before loosing the roof above the head. I'm open to any down to earth, grounded online business tips and i'm up for some serious work.
What do you have to offer the world? What's your background and experience? What problem can you solve? Or are you mainly interested in affiliate marketing (I don't do affiliate marketing, if that's your thing, I'm not your gal! :)
The reason I started my website is because I was overflowing with experience and knowledge that I knew people could use and learn from. Basically to keep all knowledge in one place where people can find and use it.
I am not really a social person and I know very little of affiliate marketing.
That is why I grab any advice I can get.
By the way, awesome questions, they surely keep you on your feet and grounded.

Hi Joy, good to see you back!
Life is hectic but good. We have to move out of our house (where I have been for 12 years!) by April 15th. We learned that the landlords wanted to move back in in March. So it has been really busy. We are in the process of buying our first property...a 4-plex. It will be apartment living which I detest but it is only for a year or two and it will be a great investment. We will save a lot of money compared to the rent we pay now and after we move out it will make us a little money each month. We are using my husband's VA loan in order to afford this (no down payment!). After we save up enough for the next down payment we can use an FHA loan to buy another place that will be nicer to live in. It will probably be a duplex or tri-plex. Then a few years later we can do it again and actually get a nice house...at least that is the plan and have a nice group of income properties.
My husband and I have both been sick for months so it has been very difficult to pack and move. It has been a cold winter as well and is snowing again. So, lots of struggles but it should be a huge step forward in life and we are excited to have this opportunity!
