I was also a newbie like you nine (9) months ago. I had no clear idea what this WA platform is all about. I know Affiliatte Marketing just by its name alone. It is like "I know the name of my neighbor but aside from that I never know anything else about her."
I remember, I just read an article about finding financial freedom, having time to enjoy doing your passion in life and be with your family. And then, I find myself in this community. All I have is my gut feeling telling me that I am in the right track. Well, in my experience, my gut is usually right.
You have your own story on how you find this community, and by the way, I am glad you did end up here. As newbie, you may find each task a bit more challenging compared to those who have background in these sort of things. At times, they appear to be so complicated! Saying this, I remember how complicated was it for me to add Google Analytics to my website. See that face of the guy in the cover image above? That's how it was. Lol!

Consider every Learning as Your Initial Earning
I know you are excited to earn something so do I. But we have to remember that the very first stage in owning any business is to know everything about how it works. Educating yourself is the starting point and there is no way you can thrive so well in any field without doing it.
How long will it takes for you to know everything you have to learn? It is really up to you, to the time and effort you are willing to give into this.
Every knowledge and skill you gained in each level of training here are your initial non-monetary earnings.
Tip # 2:
Ask Questions and Call for Help when Necessary
Wealthy Affiliate is a truly helpful community. You have good friends here who can answer all your questions or direct you to the one who can help you if it is beyond their knowledge and capacity.
As newbie, I actually survived because of these people. I can always seek the assistance of Site Support but I personally find the CHAT here more beneficial for things that I may still be able to do on my own with the help of the other members who might have encountered the same dilemma before. Why? Because they will give you many different ways to solve your problems and exploring these options will make you more knowledgeable in this field. Exciting, isn't it?
