How about a super healthy brain !
I am no medical expert, nor do I work in the field of the sciences and health. I am just an ordinary human who has been using her brain since birth ( and before) and who is determined to maintain a healthy brain as long as I am alive.
There is this complex organ located in our heads that manages the functions of the whole body. I am sure that, like me, you don't know half of what the brain does. We get up each day, use it and go back to bed without even thinking about how fortunate we are to have this organ in good shape. As we get older though, we begin to be concerned about memory, being able to maintain our skills and realise that we can intentionally do some things to optimize our brain functions.
Because of my interest in this area, I read a lot about it, I have done some brain quest course and exercises. They were all fun and I will now share (in summary) some of what I learned:
1. The top ten brain nourishing foods are : avacado, bluberries, broccoli, coconut oil, eggs, green leafy vegetables, wild salmon, turmeric, walnut, dark chocolate.
2. Adequate sleep is essential for the brain to be restored after a day's activity
3. The brain needs a fresh supply of oxygen so physical exercse is key.
4. The brain will function at its best when we do memory exercises, puzzles and, most importantly, learn something new.
What other helpful tips can you offer?
Look at your habits. What are you doing for your brain? Are you learning a new language ? Are you learning to play a musical instrument or stepping up your computer skills?
Let me have your comments on this topic !

Some good stuff in this post. I like the top 10 brain nourishing foods...happy to say I include just about all of them in my diet regularly.
I take regular supplements, as do many, but one that I think helps my mental clarity is Vitamin B-12. I use the Methyl B-12, and think it improves my mental clarity.
Ahh thanks for that reminder. I used to take B12. Maybe I need to go back to that. Your brain must be in good form !
Thanks for all the new information about our brains that I wasn't aware of, Joy! One thing is for certain--our brains will certainly get exercise here within WA!
