Do you play enough?
Many adults think that PLAY is an activity only for children. Wrong.
We fill our days with working for income, keeping up with family responsibilities, and even our exercise hour becomes one of work.
It is a medical fact that people who spend time in play, relieve tension and stress brought on by just daily living. It is a way to connect with friends and family. It is a way to become and keep healthy.
Just like chores and duties are scheduled, time for play must be scheduled . Boardgames, dancing, comedy hours, fun exercises, vacations are some of the many ways that we need to provide balance in our lives.
For me, a musician, my work is to play, so I have to redefine the word and plan fun activities that bring out the child in me, forgetting about responsibities, and really have some fun.

That my friend is the right idea I agree with you like the old saying goes no fun makes for a dull person. We need to act like a child once in awhile it is good for us to do that.
Each day I have my to do list and especially in the summer I will break it down a lot so that when I complete "x" amount of work time I can spend "x" amount of time playing in the pool. And so forth. In a sense I reward myself for working by getting to play outside. I love to be outside.
If I know a weekend camping trip is coming up then I know I need to get a certain amount of work done by Friday so I can enjoy the weekend.

Hi, Joy, I enjoy reading your post about taking the time to play, to relax, to enjoy life, if you don't take a break from your work, you are under pressure constantly which it is not healthy at all.
