There are Many Things to Love about Wealthy Affiliate

Since joining WA, what has impressed me the most are the people of Wealthy Affiliate. Of course, the structure of WA, established by Carson and Kyle, seems to attract a certain caliber of people—and I commend them for that. However, today, for the first time, I was able to put my finger on exactly what impresses me about the people of WA: It is that Wealthy Affiliate is truly INTERNATIONAL in scope.

I have met people in WA from virtually every continent in the world (except Antarctica) ; speaking a variety of languages; having different religious and cultural beliefs; and living under different government systems. The thing is, these are all circumstances that usually divide people. What then, joins those of us who make up WA, in spite of those differences?

Is it simply the pursuit of wealth? For some—maybe, but not all.

In my opinion, there are several things that unite the Wealthy Affiliate community. Among them:

1.We are entrepreneurs—first. We all want to be in control of our own destinies and not have to answer to a boss or be in constant fear of losing our jobs.

2.We care about other people. Cooperation and a willingness to assist others are rare for communities like WA. Yet, they not only seem to be a part of WA, they flourish here. With few exceptions, when one member experiences a breakthrough, or enjoys a moment of success, all other members enjoy that moment, as well.

3.We do not believe in a “finite pie.” In other words, we believe that if we grow the pie, everyone can get a bigger slice. That probably helps to account for the cooperative spirit within WA. One person’s success never diminishes someone else. Rather, it acts as an incentive to others, showing them what is possible and achievable.

What about you? What do you love most about Wealthy Affiliate? If the people, do you agree with my assessment? Can you think of other things that unite the Wealthy Affiliate Community?

I’d love to know what you think.

So true what you have written! I like the amount of knowlege among many members here and their will to help!! :)

Great article, very sincere and caring. What I like, among other things, is that the opportunity to learn something new and unexpected is an everyday experience here with so many minds being willing to share through comments their ideas and feelings.
Often it's possible to learn even more from the comments than from the article.

Great Points Joshua!.I love WA too and it's a great Community

WA is the community where by sharing your happiness you are humbled and by sharing your sorrows you are more enlightened and lightened.

I appreciate your comment, Vimal. We are fortunate to have so many supportive people within the community. To our collective success!

I also agree 100% Joshua, WA has it all, people who care, the best instructors around and just the all around homey feeling, thanks.

No question about it, Laura. We have it all and need to share it far and wide.

I have to agree 100% with what you said. WA is a perfect example of all three elements of unity. I've never been in a situation like this where everyone cheers the others on to success. I've never had anyone blow my horn for me, but that just happened on Google+ yesterday. Someone actually shared one of my articles and paid me the most beautiful complement....all without my knowing it was going to happen. I am forever grateful to the 3 men who did this. No one seems jealous of anyone else here. We just go on about our business of supporting and encouraging others. I love this place.

Pat

Thanks for sharing.

I agree. Outside of a church family, this is the first time I have come across a community of folks who seem to be truly interested in the welfare and betterment of others within the group. Support and encouragement? Yep! That's what we are about!

Excellent subject, very well written blog. I totally agree with your thoughts and things that unite the WA community. You covered it very well.
Number 1 - first is the first, in my opinion as well. Gradual disappearance of employee loyalty, more and more corporate management politics and greed, increased back stabbing and playing games among some co-workers. Moving up the corporate ladder determined more and more by who knows who game, rather than being evaluated based on real performance and knowledge of employees which makes more and more people to want to leave their so called 9 to 5 jobs, regardless of their position, level and salary and not to have to deal with above mentioned issues and be in charge of their own destiny. What I discussed is not a country or a continent specific issue, it is a global trend, and yes there are still companies all over the world that really do care about their employees and not just thinking about how to make more money at any cost, but unfortunately they are not on the long list, but they are by far on the short list.

Thanks very much for the input.

I have had that entrepreneurial spirit for many years and I suspect that most of our members have, as well. Sometimes it takes a solid opportunity like WA to help us to act on that yearning.

Very well said ... I like option 3. it seems true that if you can build a community that genuinely tries to help one another and be for the benefit of all, based on genuine good will as opposed to selfish interest or rules and regulations, everyone has more chance of growth and success. It is my experience in WA to date.

Isn't that great! I think Kyle and Carson need to be commended on infusing this community with just the right qualities it needs to be the "monster" (in a good way) that it is.

There is a certain integrity and honesty about the people here that is absent in other sites. There is no sense of people running away with your money to a sandy island, or telling half-truths, or even making it up as they go along.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, those are some of the exact same things that I notice about WA. I believe the level of integrity and honesty is unparalleled in this type of community.

I think option number 2 is the very best!

No arguments here. That aspect really appeals to me, and I suspect, to many others, as well. After a while, even someone who is not normally "cooperative" becomes just that. I think it's infectious!
