Why No Clicks?

Article Marketing - Working but Not Working
Apparently I am good at writing articles, but bad at writing the resource area...figures.   All of my live articles received Expert Status.  Here are my Ezine stats:

Live Articles: 8
Article Views: 124
Profile Views: 14
Articles Published: 4
URL Clicks: 2
Click Rate: 1.6%

Not very good stats in the clicks category.  So it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is a disconnect somewhere.  Either my resource boxes really stink, or that article isn't targeted enough.  If anyone can give some suggestions to increase my click ratio, I would be very, very grateful.  Here is one of my article resource boxes:

Hi Josh, am wondering if you resolved this issue...I am having the same problem.........no clicks but substantial traffic daily. Around 200 new users at this point and going into my third month.

I was seeing results similar to you when I read a tutorial that said "you need to CONVINCE your reader that you are an EXPERT". More importantly, you should tell them why you are an expert. Rather than telling them that you are the owner of some company they haven't heard of, tell them about your qualification that makes you knowledgeable about the subject.

On the articles that I made this change to, I have a much higher click through that my first batch of articles that don't.

Wayne, thanks for your feedback. I have already changes some of my resource blocks to remove the company information, since as you stated, they don't know me from Adam. I hope the changes I have made will lead to more clicks.

I suggest you think about the reader. Since I don't know what the content of the article is about, I can't tell how well the resource box ties to the article. It should flow seamlessly.

Next, not being harsh but why would the reader want a free internet marketing course from you? Have you given them a reason to trust that you know your stuff and would be a great resource to help them? Keep in mind that they most likely never heard of Mirror Image Marketing.

Thanks for your comment iFaith. You make some great points and I will definitely give them a shot.

Is the resource sample given just a sample or live for a particular article? List your free offer first is best. So many factors go into less than desirable clicks, it is hard to pinpoint exactly what at first. My most successful EZA article comes from a simple list style article. Also, article content that leads into the resource box, with no mention of author and more on just the offer, seems to increase click thru's well.
