Blogging must become a habit you can't break

In my past, like so many, I've succumb to habits I didn't want to have. Some not so terrible, and a few (unfortunately) had been bad. Many of us spend our life trying to figure out how not to create habits. Why? Because we tend to associate habits with something bad.

I decided, a long time ago, to reevaluate my way of thinking. Instead of focusing on what could be a negative habit, I decided to do my best to create GOOD habits in my life. Some of those would be:

-- Exercise

-- Smiling

-- Being a positive person

-- Listening more than I talk

-- Spending time with God every day

Most of us are here because we want something better, something greater. Some would like a little extra cash, some would like to replace lost income, and some want the camaraderie that comes with a community like Wealthy Affiliate. Whatever the reason, it won't actually happen unless we create a new habit for ourselves.

I've been told in the past that something becomes a habit after you do it consistently for 20 straight days. I'm going to take that up a notch. For the next 60 days I'm going to blog on here...as well as create good meaningful content for my website. Will this be hard? Yes, of course. Will this make a difference? We shall see...

To write good/quality content, you must do it consistently. No one is perfect initially. No one gets it right the first few times. Eventually though you will start to see your writing skills improve. You will start to have fun with it. You will begin to become excited. You will look forward to that hour you spend every day writing.

Once you get to that point, you will have yourself a pretty little habit. One that you don't have to be embarrassed about...

Until next time,

Josh

Hi Josh, that is good advice to write regularly. I have struggled initially with writing articles. But I am finding that the more I do them the easier it is becoming, at times.

The negative bit is, that it also, seems to depend on my mindset at the time, as to whether the words flow or I struggle to find what I am wanting to say.

I will keep persevering and writing something each day to try and loosen up the brain cells. Lis.

Admirable goals, Josh! I wish you well and know you'll give it your very best.
