I'm leaving WA
Hi everyone, just wanted to leave this here. This will be my last month at WA. It was a cool experience and I learned a lot, but I have decided to focus my time, money, and energy on my Youtube channel and using what I learned at WA to grow that.
I think the problem for me was not feeling like I was using my creativity in trying to pump out blog articles at makevideostoday.com (my WA "project"). I know a lot about my niche and work in it, but for some reason it was difficult to come up with ideas on what to write and what angle to market it; this got old pretty fast for me.
Getting on Youtube and being able to make videos - what I love - with no pressure of being perfect was a great realization for me. WA and just about all other affiliate programs stress to "start with your passion" and I feel that I can still do this but by actually making videos! - and growing my brand/business from that. So it's a more video-centric approach to affiliate marketing, but one where I can use what I learned at WA.
That being said, I will probably be back on WA eventually, to share what I learned. In the meantime, feel free to follow me on my video endeavors at the links below. I'm sure we still have much that we can teach each other through our successes and not-so-successes:
