If its not an actual Affiliate Link but a Tracking Link then I suggest you insert it within your header.php.
You will find this through Appearances then Editor and the header.php within the list on the right hand side.
You insert the link directly under <head>
remember to save/update.

I have a html snippet code i got from a affiliate program but where do I paste that?
Hi Kim,
there are 2 ways of doing it.
manually and semi-auto :)
1) Manually
You copy the HTML code and go to your wp editor. While editing your post, toggle the view into 'text' mode and paste the code where you want it to be displayed.
2) Semi-auto
Use the ads-inserter plugin which makes life easier. You just paste the html code in one of the slots and set it to be appear where you want, on page/post. This is my fav when it comes to managing ads on my site. You have more than 10 slots.
Hope that helps.

no its not working because there is no product picture or link when i do it like that. there is just the snippet code writing on my webpage
Do you get the instruction from the vendor where this snippet to be placed? If it is a tracker code, it should be place in the theme template. Normally vendor will let you know where to place the code.
Joe
on their webpage when i sign up and i go into the product i wanna promote i can press get link and it says Your standard HTML code snippet is
and then there is a code. i just thought it was a code i have to put in somewhere
