How can I be an Amazon Affiliate and sell with WA?
*By no means am I displeased with anyone on here. I just wanna get that out of the way.*
Hello everyone. My last blog on the subject was a bit less than stellar, so here I am again.
I'm getting a bit concerned that I can't find answers on how to sell things from Amazon from WA. So, please be sure to spread this blog to people that you know are involved in the Amazon WA niches.
So, my questions are the same as ever
1. How do I host things from Amazon on my Wealthy Affiliates website(s)?
2. Will I get a sale if people just go to amazon through my site? I think this is incorrect but I'll just put this down: Will I still get commissions if say person x goes to amazon and they buy something or not- it only matters they go to Amazon through my page.
& 3. Any tips for helping a newcomer in this niche?
That's all I can do. My ability to comment will be lost by tomorrow, so please people, I ask to let me have some answers. I know it's foolish to expect something instantly, and I'm not asking for that, not at all. I'm almost ready to get started, and this particular lack of info is the only thing 'stone-walling' me from starting. That's all.

Hi. Let me see if I can help you out some.
You need to put in an application to be an Amazon Associate, very easy to do. You wait for the acceptance in your email. They give you a seller's code, that is yours alone. This gives you the opportunity to put Amazon products (whatever you choose) on your site through links. There are a few different ways to go about this, but not too difficult. Amazon pays you a commission on any products you sell.
Second, you do not receive any commission just by someone clicking through to Amazon. They must make a purchase. Amazon also has a 24 hour cookie, so if someone goes through your site into Amazon and maybe puts any item (not just what you're selling) on their wish list, and comes back tomorrow? You get the commission within that 24 hour time frame.
Does that help answer some of your questions? Please let us know.

2. Yes, if they buy something on that visit. They have a return cookie I think as well - maybe 30 minutes if memory serves. Not 100% sure on the return visit cookie.
1. Use their link builder in the Amazon Associates page, or simply log into your affiliates account, then browse regular area of amazon.com for products you like. At top of your screen there should be a menu bar: find the button that says "build a link to this page" which will pop-up linking code which you can customize to that page. Copy and paste the text / html that comes up.

Jon,
Ok so you basically just want to be an affiliate of amazon and promote their products on a site you build here on WA? That's different than selling on amazon which involves having your own product, that you're listing on amazon and selling there. I think that's where the confusion lies.
If you just want to be an affiliate of amazon then like any program, it's just a matter of signing up and then adding their links on your site. I'm assuming you've gone through all the WA training. If not, you shouldn't be doing anything until you do that. I suspect you may not have completed it based on some of your questions. Like most affiliate programs you get only get paid if someone clicks on your affiliate link that you placed on your site and if they take some type of action like buying, clicking on something or filling out a lead form you get paid a flat rate or commission. It will vary depending on the company. Amazon details this information when you join.
When you are ready to start adding amazon affiliate links, you can follow the videos here:

But I'm hoping you've gone through the training completely and haven't bounced around. It will give you a solid foundation.
I hope this helps
