I have tried to purchase a domain from a siteribix. I’ve Jaaxy a photography site of mine, and it not available, but google says it is any available, for a price.
Bayau,
The cost of a domain is dependent on which domain name
you want - you can see what is available under the Websites
to the left on your screen then click on Site Builder - in
there you will then select "Register A Domain" this will not
cost you anything to look - but if you find the one you want
then you go to Checkout and pay for it.
Once you have your new Domain Name moving the
siterubix site over to it is easy by clicking a move
button on the Website Manager page.
Hope this answers all the questions,
Susan
I moved my siterubix.com domain to a domain I bought at WA for $14 in a year. WA guarantees the price for few years. You will find cheaper domains online but they may get more expensive soon.
This move was absolutely easy!
We also moved our business site from blue host to WA. By blue host we paid about $270 a year for hosting. WA offers more in hosting then we had with blue host.
This move was easy at WA side, SiteSupport was great! but little complicated at blue host side. I also made few mistakes in the order doing this things.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions, Jonathan!
Aloha, Jenna
Hi, Jonathan.
If you have found out on Google that the domain you want is available for a price it probably means that someone has already bought that domain and they are selling it for that price. If you want that exact domain, that is the price you have to pay the owner to make it yours.
Best wishes,
Steve.
Your SiteRubix domain is a sub-domain of SiteRubix and only has to be unique within SiteRubix.
That doesn't mean it's available as a .com in the outside world.
If it's available for a price, that means someone else has registered it but they aren't using it, they are just wanting to onsell it and make a profit.
My advice is to try variations of the name until you find one that's available and register that. Then transfer your existing website as advised by Triblu.
For example, I wanted scamwarrior.com. It wasn't available but I was able to register thescamwarrior.com and that was fine.
Hey Jonathan,
Here's Kyle's instructions: How to Transfer a SiteRubix Website to Your Own Domain Hope you find this helpful.
Use WA to find and purchase a domain name you want. DO NOT listen to some site on Google saying you can get the site for an outrageous price. Search it with WA first. It will legitimately tell you if it's available or not, you don't have to purchase it through WA, though it does make things easy.
It's right in training videos how to move a domain name, way back near like the last 5 lessons of level one.
Once you have purchased your new domain there is a "Move" option under website details, by clicking on that the transfer over will be done automatically for you
I try it. So I can save my original name? But loss the original passion photography com or gain?
