Understanding the Concept of PREselling


The world seems to think that "Technology Rules" or "Image sells". Wrong. "Words are of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind". Rudyard Kipling (1865--1936)

Communicate, PREsell, the World is yours.

Building a business is all about building relationships. Understanding this simple but critical concept is of paramount importance. And the rest of your Affiliate Marketing world will fall into place.

In the real world, business people build relationships with you, the customer.

PREselling is the online version of building relationships.

PREselling warms up and builds trust and respect...

Words have power. Taking time to PREsell puts that power into your online business. And you know what? People will like doing business with you.Why? Because you took time to build relationships. You dedicated a big chunk of your time to gaining trust PREselling.

But wait a minute. You are now asking, "how do I learn to do this, or even why should I do this"

I'll also ask you a Question, how many times have you gone into a shop with no real intention to buy anything but then found yourself walking off after having made a purchase? That's because the sales assistant with her welcoming friendly persona warmed you to the point of parting with your very precious dollars.

Such is the same with Online business. PREsell and the customer will be more than willing to part with their hard earned money.

Good PREselling is a bit like good art...

Visitors know good content when they read it. Winning, PREselling content "works" at several levels...

  1. It has that "been there-done that" voice and flair. In other words, you are not selling hot air.
  2. It has specific knowledge that comes from real experience.
  3. It supports a depth of useful information--good reference material plays an important part.
  4. It is spun or postioned in a way that is uniquely yours.
Furthermore your message must be consistent, from Web page to Web page, from week to month to year.

And finally, it is for the customer,absolutely. If you write to please just yourself, you have a hobby. Nice creative outlet, but it's not likely to pay much.

Good writing is the key to good PREselling. The key to success is weaving your personal experience into some researched background information (more or less depending on the subject) Marking You Out As The Expert In Your Field and Inspiring Trust at The Same Time. Do this in an original way that is uniquely you.

Always remember, of course, that you have two audiences, not one.
You must also write to impress the Search Engines while you OVERdeliver for your human visitors too.

sometimes you just need to stop dreaming money and just be happy to be providing a message, whether you achieve sells or not is another matter, then you won't suffer heartache if your business does not materialize into dollars.
