The worst cardinal sin most people who venture into online marketing commit is the rush to want to clinch that sell. All they got on their minds is money, money, money. There are plenty internet fraudsters out there don't make yourself to appear as one.

The internet is a center of information. It is undoubtedly the biggest library ever compiled. When people are surfing what they are looking for more than anything is information, and they can smell a rat when they tumble into a site whose only message to them is buy, buy, buy.

Plan to build a tightly-niched Theme-Based Content Site. When people are online they are looking for solutions through "information, information, information" (i.e., content)

It's critical you do upfront thinking and planning

• brainstorm the most profitable topics related to your theme.
• select the best related affiliate programs.
• develop the best site concept/theme, based on what you know and love..
• perhaps a hobby or past work experience can be your springboard

Then put yourself into the click path of your visitors...(i.e., delivering customer focused content; information that meets the needs and wishes of your target group).

In order to get Targeted Traffic you have to build pages that please the search engines and rank highly on a search result page. The higher the ranking the easier it is for targeted traffic to find you. More traffic means more potential sales, which means more potential commissions for you.

PRE-selling is warming up your visitors through valuable content that establishes credibility. Once you have that your recommendations carry more weight. The conversion rates of those visitors who arrive already pre-sold to your merchant's site via an in-context text link can be immensely high.

Eliminate dependency on any single source of income. Multiple income streams also have the potential to make every visitor to your site count. A particular offer might not spark any interest but another one maybe the match that lights the fire.

The CTPM process of affiliate marketing boils down to this...

Create searched-for content (the "C") that pulls targeted traffic (the"T").
Warm-up (i.e PREsell) your visitors so that they click on your recommendations with an open to buy attitude. And then generate income through those PRE-sold visitors (i.e., Monetize).

This is a fool-proof formula that has been proven to work. If you follow this advice it will no doubt do wanders for you, and who knows you might be on your way to becoming very,very rich indeed.
