What motivates me. Does it motivate you?
So it's the New Year. In my mind, most people are at parties, having fun, having champagne and laughing it up with their friends. My day, well it didn't quite go like that. So at the risk of sounding like a whiny girl (if that scares you, back out now!!!). Today was catch up from the most recent holiday day. Without any fanfare, the house was cleaned and laundry done, and that left the dreaded task of sorting and paying bills. I put my mother's bills in one stack and mine in another. I was shocked when her stack had only 3 bills and mine seemed like the tower of Babel. And my checking account is like the tower of Babel that had toppled. Well maybe we have all been there. And I will not lie and say that I wasn't rather distressed doing the familiar shuffle of which can go out when.
So where is the positive, the motivation. Surely it isn't hard to see. I need more money and fewer bills. Don't we all. We have that opportunity here. And not just opportunity. We are opportunity. Kyle or Carson or any of our mentors can't be our opportunity once we sign on. From that point on, they can aid and assist, but we must be our own motivation. If I do my monthly bills and see I'm 200 short, my motivation has to be nothing less than I must work hard enough to make 200 dollars because of my own effort. If I finally make 10 dollars, I must say to myself, I must work hard enough to make 190 dollars because of my hard effort. Our own life, our own need must motivate us. This is what will motivate me.
