Doing Something Every Day

I find that if I do something with my internet business venture every day, I keep moving forward even if only an inch at a time. Like the old saying goes about the journey of a thousand miles beginning with a single step.

Sometimes if I don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm not sure how it's going to work out, I tend to procrastinate and dither and walk in circles around the task rather than just jumping in and working on it. That leads to discouragement, and no progress, and can lead to giving up.

I see some fellow WA people for whom I wonder if that has become their knock-out punch. Folks, don't let it. Comfort zones were made to be broken out of, just like the box is made for thinking outside of. No success can happen while sitting safely inside the comfort zone. Success implies change of the status quo, and by definition that is not comfortable. But it is a really exciting thing!

The way I deal with it is that I spend SOME time every day (except Sunday),even if only a few minutes, working on my web site, my content, and my training. The immovable object of inertia, ignorance, and unbuilt success eventually washes away under the steady drip, drip, drip of little tiny raindrops of consistent, daily effort.

And, I'm taking the attitude that it's a lot of fun to learn new stuff and do cool things! I look at my website and admire what I've accomplished so far, and it feels exhilirating.

I may be like the tortoise in the story of the tortoise and the hare, but eventually, one day, I'll reach my goals.

Obstacles are those frightful thing you see when you take your eyes off your goals.

Great comment suphatp!

slow and steady wins the race! At least you are reaching toward those goals!

Thanks kellyrae82

Great post and continue to be persistent, it all works when you step back and look at the bigger picture. I like to keep a list of things I want or have to do and then prioritize from there. Moving forward is always the best direction.

Thanks Rick, I appreciate the feedback. Cheers!
