Do I Need Social Warfare Plugin If I Buy Thrive Themes

Hi All,

I hope someone can answer this question, if I buy Thrive Themes and become a member will I still need my 2 Social Warfare plugins. With Social Warfare you get 2 plugins, one is for minimal features and the other is the pro version that has everything.

I have been researching Thrive Themes package for a while now and they have their own social media buttons, so my question is I should be able to deactivate my social warfare plugins.

My yearly prescription renewal with social warfare is due very soon 21st September 2017, I would like to stress that social warfare is a fantastic product and can not fault it.

Thank You,

John

I deleted my social plugins and use the built-in thrive social plugins. You have 2 options - you can set up the buttons in the Thrive Dashboard in your wordpress dashboard which sets things for site wide.

Of if you have Thrive Architect you can set the buttons manually for specific pages and posts.

Thank you, Leo.

I am going to use the Rise theme, are all the main social media buttons available eg. Linkedin.
Also can you post to twitter cards from your website post ??
I am using the free twentysixteen child theme, free wordpress theme.
With a Premium theme do you still need a child theme ??

Thank you,

John

Sorry I don't use twitter so I can't answer that.

As for a child theme it all depends on the theme. For example Studiopress uses child themes. You download their Genesis framework and then all their themes work from that framework as child themes.

Thrive does not have child themes because for most people the customization ability with their themes is more than enough.

But you can create one if you like, here's the tutorial if you want to set up your own child theme

Thank you, Leo.

On watching Thrive Themes webinar, the co-owner suggests I should change to Yoast SEO, I presume for better compatibility.
I have all in one seo so can change over, have you got Yoast SEO Leo ??
I will wait for your response pal !!!

John

I use All In One - Yoast is no better than All In One.

There are zero compatibility issues with All In One. But ultimately the choice is yours

I do exactly the same Leo. Using Thrive Suite, means that most of the plugins we would normally use as additionals are made redundant

I was using Yoast, in deference to All In One SEO, but after revisiting bootcamp and comparing the benefits, my preference now is AIO, it does a similar job to Yoast, but has an affiliate venture and more benefits than Yoast

I use Thrive themes and use their built in social media plugin (I cant remember the name of the previous plug in I used because i deactivated it). The social media buttons do look different depending on which of the themes you actually use (i use Ignition, Performag and Squared on different sites)

Thank you, Yvonne.

I am going to change my free twentysixteen child theme to Rise in Thrive Themes. With a Premium Theme do I need a Child Theme ??
