People are reeding my reviews

A few years ago google asked me to write a review , so I started writing revies for restaurants, hotels , places of interest etc even my my registered massage therapist.

Most of my reviews are restaurants. One restaurant in particular has the best pancakes, even as I write this my mouth is starting to salivate, it's a pavlov thing.

So, I wrote a review about how I have eaten a lot of pancakes but these have a taste that are unlike anything I have tasted.

Well, a week later my wife and I went to the restaurant and ordered are usual bacon and eggs and we share a banana and blueberry pancake.

The owner Terry, who we have gotten to know said as we ordered at least someone is ordering bacon and eggs and not just pancakes.

We said what do you mean ? Terry said well, the last 17 orders before we got there ordered only pancakes and he doesn't know what's going on ?

So, I said I guess people read my review about how good your pancakes are. Then he said oh , so your the reason ! Thanks for the review !

When I recently went to Hawaii I wrote a review on the hotel, a restaurant that made one of the best hamburgers I have eaten and the Sheraton hotel that recently got over a strike and served some of the worst food and drinks i have had anywhere, included was a picture of the shriveled up piece of pineapple they served with my drink, I was totally shocked because many times we had great service and food.

So, just the other day google sent me a message that people like my reviews and over 8,000 people have read them on over 30 reviews.

Some restaurants had 300 reviews or more but the biggest surprise was my massage therapist got over 1,000 people checking it out !!

I thought wow ! Maybe I should start a website about reviews but I wouldnt have google as a drawing card but how can I transfer these reviews into something to my benefit, just saying ?

Anyway that's my story anycommenrs would be appreciated and maybe can help someone at WA !!!

That is a really good skill, John, and I think you need to do as much as you can to use that talent. It should be useful in WA, as we often write reviews in here. I'll be interested to see what you do going forward.

This is very nice of you, John! Kudos for the accomplishments so far! I don't write reviews but have great passion for writing posts about blogging. Thanks for the awesome and motivating post! Looking forward to seeing more of your future accomplishments in the online world!

I have seen many people do reviews with many hits and they put their main website and first name below their review. I have done this and people acknowledged me sometimes. Not saying very negative would be good, yet done in a professional and helpful way usually is appreciated.. If major retribution against you happens, just delete or give an honest rebuttal. Even If the review is one which owners don’t like could bring a fair amount of traffic either way. Good post.

Thx thats a good idea put a website behind the review !
Thx for the tip.
I know a friend of mine tecently gave a restaurant review and the owner sent him a message that if he didn't take his comment off he would sue him !
I don't think he would have but my friend took it down.

If it was an honest review not mean and on yelp or comment box on the website the owner could not sue. Just intimidated your friend. Interesting the website gave the owner no way to edit comments. Lol

I believe Google doesn't allow the owner of the business to edit the review what would be the point of the review 😜

Great story. It just goes to show the power of the written word to a business, any business. It can make or break the business and it helps to keep businesses accountable to do whatever they do to the best standard they can. Thank you for this excellent post.

I would say open a website and just link them like any other within the post. But I know what you mean, that wont be much benefit.

Try asking Google for a copy of some way..

Great story anyhow, keep up the great work.

Yes i Googled how to transfer my reviews to a site and it's possible.
The other thing I have started to do is write a review and then at the end of the review I say check out my website , nothing so far but I only put it on one review will try more this week.
Google didn't say anything , it's not considered not being part of the review or they just haven't seen it yet 😎
