What Niche?
I find myself in a spot of negative thought process. I have worked in either the Fire Service or Health Service all my working life (a long time). In all those years I feel I have helped a lot of people in their hour of need and enjoyed doing it. However, I don't see any way that I could eventually monetise those niches due to the differing ways different Countries work, in for example health care. I'm in the UK and the only other Country I have come across with a similar system is New Zealand.
I feel my only way forward would be to rely on affiliate products or learn a niche from scratch in order to become an 'expert' .
I would be grateful to hear of any other members that have been in a similar situation and how they moved to process forward.
Regards
John

Hi there, know the problem you face but with you background I can see awesome opportunities. Thus fire prevention in the home with monetization through alarm devices. You can write a book on this area, which you can then sell. Think about extending this into industry. Like insurance many homes and industry do not pay attention to this. You could also do this on a local marketing basis. And then there is the health knowledge you have as Juan says below.
May I suggest, trying to be helpful, turn your thought process round, think outside the box, think positive, research what others have done in your two areas. And then there is the rest of the world to market to with your specialised knowledge - how many developing countries could do with this?
There is no doubt you will make more rapid progress by basing a niche on what you know.
Hope this helps
Regards
Hudson.
Hello, John
This is John. Let me say that I understand how your past experience may seem not conducive to a niche, however, I think you have one. You have been affiliated with the health care profession. I also worked in the field in the U.S. Navy and worked in hospitals after leaving service. It turns out that what I learned about diseases was fertile ground for article writing. I simply used my knowledge from experience and listening to lectures from doctors to write in a way that would be of help to folks plagued by a problem that set them in bewilderment. Many folks just want to know why they aren't feeling well, what is everything they learned at the emergency room mean, how can I help myself since I cannot afford a doctor (we don't have nationalized medicine here), why are these things happening to me, what can I expect, etc. If you can think about your experiences and write an 800 word article about them that is informative, you can get passive revenue on any of many article writing sites. I write for HubPages and Infobarrel. It has helped me and would be a great place to start. There are many others - perhaps as good? Just Google Article Writing Sites.
Hope this helps. Good luck, John
