In A Rut

I have struggled to do what I need to do for my website and possible future supplemental income.

At times I'm just whipping right through the lessons and I get excited. Then, something comes up and somehow my brain switches off, or goes in a totally different direction and I can't see me going much further. So, I step away and do something else. I stay away until I get pulled back to a point where I want to go at it again.

So far this has happened three times in a very short span of time (almost two months now). It has felt like a rut. I'm not even sure how to climb out. So I just keep doing what I'm doing until the solution strikes me over the head like a 2X4.

Don't take me wrong. There has been some progress. Just real slow and many times in very small increments.

Needless to say I am sticking in there. I want to see what it's like on the other side when I get there.

Don't need to stress yourself out, just what you need is to be consistent, determined and ready to stick with your plan.

Hi Jo!
I understand your feelings, I’m going pretty slow myself. But I still feel it’s the right direction. I have a site I’m pretty happy about, and though I’m only posting about once a week and still working through training I’m enjoying it.
There are lessons I’ve had to go over more than once to “get it”. And I’ve been really stuck a couple times and had to ask the community for help, but they got me through it.
There’s no time limit on us, so if you need to take a break and come back to it fresh that’s ok.
Whatever it takes! We’re with you!

Thank you KyleAnn. I needed that. :-)

I started out at full throttle, cramming WA related activities into every little nook and cranny of time I had. My husband started looking at me sideways when I was not much of a conversationalist after work (he's retired and waits for me to come home so he can gab) so I've had to slow down. I have not progressed as quickly as I expect a lot of other people do, and my interest in WA wanes a bit when I'm feeling overwhelmed and simply try to DO too much. I think the key for me is what I am working on - is it a blog post that is fascinating to me? If I'm not thrilled about what I am doing, then it's hard to drum up the enthusiasm because I am regularly pulled into so many directions (work, home, family, errands...). In other words, if it isn't FUN, it's WORK. This is my second time with Affiliate Marketing, I tried a different group about 10 yrs ago, it wasn't the right time for me. Despite all the challenges, this time feels right for me. How about you?

Thanks, Joan, I will continue to trudge that road until such time my heart tells me no more.

We all go through highs and lows in this business so don't feel that you were somehow singled out. Just stick your chest out reaffirm within yourself why you're here and go full throttle again!

Thank you, I am going forward.

Hi Jo -- thanks kindly for sharing, all the best, cheerio.... :)

Thank you. :-)
