Sounds like your About page was replaced with a post. You can easily fix that using the following tutorial: Change Post to Page or Page to Post Not sure why you were prompted to delete your About page though. That should NEVER have happened.

Thank you so much, Trish. I have not had a chance to dig back in and study the link you provided. I look forward to doing that this week. I am not sure I was prompted to delete the about page. I think I must have misunderstood and bunched it with the welcome.
