My Site Got Indexed!

I got an email telling me that my site has been indexed on Google. I've only published my About Me page and 2 other posts. I'm on Level 2, Lesson 7 of 10. So maybe getting your site indexed will be discussed later in the training but, for right now, I know it's a good thing, but I don't really know what it means beyond that. Can anyone explain it a little?
